Just spoke with former #Magic guard Jason Richardson. He said he has left agent Dan Fegan & is looking for a new agent.

Let's say you have this popular product that you're trying to sell across the globe. QVC outbids HSN for the rights to sell your product; making them the sole distributor of your product. However, you hear QVC is about to hire this host, that worked for you and always badmouthed you and complained about certain pieces of the product, to try to sell the item to its viewers. Would you allow QVC to have this new host try to sell your product to billions of consumers or would you threaten to bring your product to the other channel, unless they didn't hire the new guy?

it's business. this is what happens when you can't keep your mouth shut and burn bridges.

Damn I just read it, I don't like the way SVG handles himself at times. But for Stern to have the last word over what ESPN should do within it's own business is really unbelieveable. ESPN is becoming a real joke, they should be embarassed.

Are you saying OKC was wrong to do those things? Doesn't that mean you are being an arm chair GM. Don't the real ones know 10 times more than you do?

Not saying that Liggins cant play and isnt possibly NBA caliber player, but if the best you can say about him is stopping a 2nd year player in one summer league game, that isnt much.

Well thats the best thing because that was the only time he played. And it isn't much? Second year player or not, Brooks proved his first year he could score in the NBA. And the rest of the summer league had problems stopping him. He goes 0-10 with Liggins all over him. If you and others can't see how good of a defender he is, and his potential to be elite defensively, then well we just have to agree to disagree.

I just hate how people think they know more than people how have years of experience and are paid to do this for a living. yes, they can be wrong, but they have access to much more information that we do. Maybe Liggins wouldnt sign again with the Magic because he felt that he wasnt being given a fair shake due to playing time last year. Maybe he felt he had more opportunities with OKC, since he would be behind AA, Redick at SG and Harkless/Turk at SF here.

But you do the same thing, so stop complaining. You did it in this very post. Doesn't OKC know a ton more than you do, so why would you criticize them for signing Perkins and Thabeet?

it's crazy right? Espn is their own business correct? owned by Disney.....Covers a wide range of sports....sports leader as they say....and yet they allow Stern who probably blocked Stan of his own volition without any Owners input to have a say in how they run their business....I mean when the news broke about Stan going to countdown to the NBA on Espn a lot of people liked the idea including sports journalists and the media....a lot of them thought that SVG would be a refreshing addition and i'm sure people would tune in for Stan....but man Stern strong-armed the sports leader.....of course assuming that there is any validity to the story.....

Oh man... Poor Stan. Can't say i'm surprised though. Stern's got too much power and Stan is too honest for his own good sometimes. That's like kerosene and water.

I'd love to see Stan land a media job. The guy would actually bring some insights for a change, IMO.

I wonder what this will do for his coaching career going forward? How many teams are gonna be put off by the fact that the Commish has it in for him so bad he'd go out of his way to cost him a job.

This is a pretty good indication that Stan did have his cronies out for us in a few playoff games.

This is OT, but I thought it was awesome. Piece of a recent Kobe interview which exposes how imperfect some NBA players are.

“We go back to the timeout and I’m pissed, right?” Bryant said. “He goes, ‘Hey, I was wide open.’ ‘Yeah, I know.’ This is how I’m talking to him during the game. I said, ‘You’re going to be open again, Kwame, because Rasheed is just totally ignoring you.’ He said, ‘Well, if I’m open don’t throw it to me.’ I was like, ‘Huh?’ He said, ‘Don’t throw it to me.’ I said, ‘Why not?’ He said, ‘Well, I’m nervous. If I catch it and he fouls me, I won’t make the free throws.’ I said, ‘Hell no!’ I go to Phil [Jackson], I say, ‘Hey Phil, take him out of the game.’ He’s like, ‘Nah, let him figure it out.’ So, we lose the game, I go the locker room, I’m steaming. Steaming. I’m furious. Then, finally I get a call, they said, ‘You know what, we got something that’s happening with Pau.’ I was like, ‘Alright. Cool.’ The first game with Pau, we ran the pick-and-roll and I slipped him the ball. He catches it! I was like, ‘Yes!’ Then, he makes the shot! So, as I’m running back to the timeout, I’m screaming. I’m jumping on Pau’s back. It was like, ‘Oh, I have someone that can play.’ That’s what I had to deal with the whole year. And Smush, I’m not even going to get into that.”

The Magic were smart to not take Bynum he's damaged goods, the lakers knew it that's why they wanted to trade him. Most of the people that ripped the magic are in the media, they are the ones that look stupid

I think if you put McGee back then, he would get those blocks just as easily as Russell did. Russell's athleticism was well ahead of the players of his time, and that's about it.

But, I saw enough in his ability and intelligence to prove to me that Liggins is a solid NBA player. Crack on me all you want but Henny let him go to his former team, the Thunder for nothing.

If Henny was truly trying to rebuild, then why did he take on Afflalo and Harringtons bad contracts and let promising youth like Liggins and Orton go. It just boggles the mind.

You cannot be serious.

first of all, Harrington and Afflalo are easily moveable, it's pretty laughable actually you refer to Afflalo as a bad contract, then say Orton is a promising youth, my god take your meds

he had Odom and Butler before Kwame came around. i'm still surprised he couldn't figure out how to play with those two.

those first few years post Shaq showed exactly what kind of person/player Kobe is. no matter how good you are, if you don't have legit help, you can't do it all on your own. MJ couldn't, LeBron couldn't, Kobe couldn't.

can you imagine what Dwight's reaction will be the first time Nash throws him a decent pass?

I think it said "injured toe" on the box score.
