Hey, don't age him -- he turned 19 on draft night!

Re: Bradley Beal
Post NY game.
This kid does nothing but impress. Such a mature game and approach to the game. And he already has an NBA body. And he is only 19. Amazing.
Did you see him take it to the rack at the end of the game. That was huge to me. Showed he is not afraid to step it up. It wasn't stepping it up like a lot of player who want to be the man do where they simply take the shot... no... he took it to the rack. That was a man move right there. That is what true star players do.
He just has such a balanced game. Stat stuffer. He shoots. He drives drive. He already has an advanced step back move. He passes. Rebounds. He hits his FTs. He defends.
Only thing keep this kid from starting is Randy hold back him back like Seabiscuit coming into the final turn.
Someone said he is better then Wall already. I won't go there but I will make this leap. He is more NBA ready for his position then Wall was when he got here. Wall relied mostly on his speed and his mocky. He also game into a crappier situation. I think Wall will be very good thing year. He has matured in his two years here and I think his game will show a lot of progress.
Good news is, we have both of them.
The team just need to get healthy now and I think we will have some fun watching them this year.

I'm enthused about Bradley Beal also but,
"Only thing keep this kid from starting is Randy hold back him back like Sea brisket coming into the final turn."
This image is too much. I see a sailor watching cattle swimming in the sea saying, I could really go for some Sea brisket about now.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Very impressed with Beal. Looks like he could be the perfect SG next to Wall.

DCZards wrote:One word sums up why Beal's start is so solid: maturity. It's something that has been said about him from the jump and it comes across in his speech, body language and overall demeanor. Don't want to go overboard about a 20 year old rook who has only played a handful of SL games and one preseason game, but there is a presence about Beal that screams "I got this."
DCZ, he has so much maturity that it is hard to believe he's not even that old. Despite even a Wizards announcer calling him 20 years old, Bradley Beal is still a teenager. On the night of the draft he turned 19.
Beal looks like he already knows how to play. I am really happy the Wizards drafted him.
Tre Johnson is the future of the Wizards.

Re: Bradley Beal
Not to get ahead of ourselves but if Beal continues to be " who we though he was " and he is doing it so early in his introduction into the league... even if it is just pre-season. I know this is a big "if" but so far I see no signs that he isn't going to be what he is showing us... so now the next big "if"
If Wall can take that 3rd year step where he maximizes his amazing physical tools.
It's not a leap to see how the Wizards could have on the current roster, two pieces of a deep playoff level team and their ages are 22 and 19. That is what opens up a legit path to being a deep playoff team over the next 8 years.
Short term they have Nene as the next star level piece. They should be able to make some noise with those 3 over the next two years. Its looking like with the filler pieces they have, they should be able to make the playoffs which will give the team the exposure and experience they need. They need to get Wall and Beal into the playoffs ASAP so they can see how that game is played so they can prepare at an even higher level.
3 years out, they most likely need a Nene replacement. It wouldn't be a total stretch to think that Wall and Cousins want to rejoin with each other. In 3 years, the Wiz should have the cap space to do it. Something to keep an eye on. Its may never happen but it also could. Those are the types of options that will start to open up for them now that it is looking like they have two young star level players in Wall and Beal.

let's not get ahead of ourselves, let's see him play consistently in the regular season before we say he is the best player on the roster
he is still a rookie but he looks very promising

Eric Maynor is the worst basketball player I've ever seen.

Yep, and I'll add that Beal has also not been playing against starters when he has come in the game.
However, I've seen enough in summer league, open scrimmages and preseason to know that the kid knows how to play the game. I'm not saying that the kid will be great. However, I am pretty confident he will be a solid pro, at the very least.

I agree; lets not get ahead of ourselves. Still, I'm glad that we now have a legit path to 8 outstanding years.
And, amazingly, we did it without getting ahead of ourselves!

The Hall of Fame is actually considering forgoing the retirement requirement for selecting him to the HOF. Quoted one high-ranking member, "He's just that damn good."

I believe they are building a statue to him outside the Phone Booth right now.

And it came to pass, as they went still on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them asunder; and Beal went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
Wizards luck.
Wizards luck.

Hands, it's time to start a poll to see if he should be made team captain.
