Beal had a good game last night. His jumper looked good, and he had a few aggressive takes to the rim, and didn't shy away from the contact.

Austin Rivers currently at 4 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 0 steal, 1 block shot and 2 turnovers

FG: 1-7
3PT: 0-2

hopefully he'll shape up....that's what preseason is for

MKG had 1 point last night, but let's bash Austin, lol.

No one saw the game, no one saw Rivers two turnovers on questionable offensive fouls. No one saw that half of his missed shots were blocks by Biyombo and Haywood. I don't know what it is that people have this fascination with Rivers. The kid has done well. He's looked very quick, shown great handles, played great defense. He's shown a real knack to attack the rim thus far, he's drawn a ton of fouls. His outside shot hasn't started falling for him yet, but I think we all know he can hit that shot. But everything else has looked good.

I totally agree about Brian Roberts. That kid just never disappoints. And he's also proven to be very clutch with the game on the line. He's got to play, and actually started at PG last night over Greivas.

The Hornets look like they are going to have a nice rotation with Vasquez, Gordon, Roberts and Rivers. I'm not sure how I feel about Roger Mason at this point.

Then explain why he's in the NBA then, or that he was offered an average annual salary of $10.75 million? Meanwhile, he has a season where he averaged 2.0 blocks-per-game, and 8.3 rebounds-per-game. Meanwhile he's shooting over 60% from the field for his career. Yes, I know he's limited offensively (which reminds of Drummond), but at least he understand his limits and knows how to use his limited abilities. He's obviously good at some things to help his team. If he wasn't good at anything, he wouldn't be playing the minutes he gets now. Especially on a contending team.

Meanwhile, Drummond only averaged 2.7 blocks-per-game and 7.6 rebounds-per-game in college while only compiling a field goal percentage just under 54%. Not exactly impressive numbers for college considering the position he plays. And his 29% foul shooting is just atrocious. Meanwhile Jordan improved his foul shooting to over 52% last year.

And it's not just numbers that remind me of each other, but their athleticism combined with their sizes, but limited on the offensive end. The point is if Jordan isn't good at anything, then what does that make Drummond?

But didn't you say this earlier today?

he is not first big man with bad contract

he has great defensive potential, but for now his low basketball iq makes him bad on defense. it's simple as that. if you take your eyes of ball just bit and folow defensive reactions of jordan, you will see how he loses his position, how badly he anticipets, how bad he reads ofense etc. for now jordan is highlight on defense, but that's about it.

Am I the only one just amazed by this rookie class? Obviously a couple preseason games in is way way too early, but this just seems like such an amazing class.

Yeah, I think what will be interesting is just them getting used to playing games every couple of days. I think we'll definitely see guys struggle as the season goes on.

But long term, Anthony Davis, Beal, Barnes, Lillard, Drummond, Ross, etc etc Just so many good young players, it goes about 20 deep that I really like their long term potential.

As a neutral fan of the Cavs, I was absolutely in shock when Waiters was picked. Barnes looked (and still looks) the better fit.

I seriously am so pissed at our FO for picking Waiters. He can't shoot, he's 6'4, he's not a great defender, he's not good off the ball... I seriously hate when they pick guys based off advanced metrics rather than team fit. I get the logic, it's great to have a secondary shot creator, but there are so many guys that are not only better fits with higher upsides, but are also prototypical-sized prospects for their position like Barnes, Lamb and Drummond...

I thought you would pick Barnes, so on behalf of Warriors fans, thanks for that. h/t

Pistons have 17 players in camp, and Frank wants to use game-like rotations of 10 players instead of having 17 players play 10 minutes every night.
