I think he's got a lot of Jamal Mashburn to his game.

mash was a better ball-handler but i can see that a bit. i think offensively barnes has to be more of a power SF.
power straight line drives off the pass or fake, mid post face ups where he can get to the rim in one bounce or shoot over the top, and some back to the basket play.

Cavs should have drafted Barnes instead of him. Barnes has so much more potential then waiters and is a better player right now. It was even reported that Barnes and Irving were VERY good friends. I have no idea why the cavs did not take him.....It would have been a perfect fit.

I guess you did not know Dion and Kyrie been good friends since the 10th grade. No disrespect...but It seems like you're just spouting a bunch BullSh*t.

I think it would be best just to keep the Dion talk on the cavs board, Seems to bring a lot of trolls around when his name Is mentioned Lol.

It happens every year but its silly to make sweeping predictions based on a few games whether summer league, preseason, regular season or otherwise. To me its much more productive to do a straight analysis, i.e. so-and-so appears to be good at X and bad at Y and may/may not be a good fit for team Z. But thinking that these early games are a strong harbinger of things to come, good or bad, is setting yourself up to be wrong

The Cavs needed someone else who could handle the ball, and create offense for himself and others. I think Waiters is more talented than Barnes by a long shot (I thought Barnes should have gone 10-15 spots lower than he did), but I understand that most people don't feel that way. However its pretty clear that Dions skill set is a much better fit for what the Cavs need than Barnes is.

Rookies who Ive been most impressed with so far..
Davis
Drummond
Ezeli
Lillard
Waiters
Valanciunas
Barnes
Sullinger

Waiters looked good last night playing PG...I just don't understand the pick for the Cavs. Irving and Waiters both need the ball to be effective and if you put them on the court together, that's an awfully small backcourt.

Still havnt caught a bobcat game..I'm a HUGE MKG fan.

Austin Rivers looks outclassed so far..He's needs to realize he's way more like his dad than Kobe Bryant in terms of athletic ability and size.

Looking like a deep rookie class to me.

Beal is literally the only thing that makes this injured Wizards team watchable. Besides him and Seraphin the rest are fringe NBA talents.

Yuck.
