Two problems: Can't stay logged in and big blank space

I have two problems with realgm forum that I can't seem to fix.

FIrst is that for whatever reason I can't stay logged into the realgm forums permanently. Even when I select 'stay logged in', if I close my Firefox browser and say reopen it the next day, I will have to relogin again. It didn't use to be this way and I could stay logged in no problem, but then maybe a few months ago this problem started to happen.

The second problem I have just started happening a few days ago where I get this huge blank space as shown below:



This problem seems to happen only in Firefox as when I use Chrome it looks normal. So Is there anyway to fix these two problems?

Have you deleted all of the cookies on your computer?

Yes I've cleared cookies several times already and while it seems like it works for a day or two the login problem shows up again.

I'm using Firefox 15 right now.

The first issue sounds like a browser issue to me. We haven't made any changes that would affect this. Do you have a setting to clear your history or cookies regularly?

Yes i've done that a number of times and it doesn't fix anything.

Same thing is happening to me on Chrome, pretty much every time I open up the forum I'm having to log back in.

Nothing has changed on the forums code that would affect this. I got in touch with our server administrator and he let me know that no configurations have been made on their end since the draft. It must be an outside source affecting this - a virus scanner running and clearing cookies, ISP changes, browser updates... could be a lot of things.
