When you pair favors up with Al the paint is packed nearly impossible score. Pair up with Sap the spacing in the paint opens up. Even Kanter had troubles scoring when he was paired up with Jefferson. The Spacing is just horrible. Favors did also go to the free throw line 7 times in that stretch had 4 swats against the lakers starters 2 on gasol one on world peace and Jamison. 8pts, 4 blks isnt a bad line kinda hard to say your force feeding a guy when you give him only 6-8 shots a game.

Kanter is scored against players that will not make a roster.
But overall a great perfomance. It was pleasure to see.
And why where was only 1 play is run for Favors?
Seems to me maybe coach corbin knows that we are don't. About his offensive work ethic?!
Compare to Kanter. Each 2nd play was designed for him.

I'm not on board with the work ethic part, but I think you might be on to something. Kanter does get a lot of touches, makes himself available, and gets the ball often. Favors don't get it as much, and part of it is because Favors played with the starters and Kanter played with the 2nd unit, but still, Favors doesn't ask for the ball as much, and when he does get it in a 1-1 situation he pulls up for a jumper too often. He still doesn't have many offensive moves and can't create for himself, which really begs for PnR situations which will suit his current skills and athleticism best, and a PG who can play it effectively. Bottom line, it seems that Favors don't get the ball as much because he didn't improve much offensively, unlike Kanter and so less plays are called for him. Corbin SHOULD call plays for him that put him in position to succeed and suit his abilities best and not just 1-1 situations in the post randomly.

The real decision the Jazz FO is making is between Continuity, Cap Flexibility, and Cash Considerations.
