go big or go home. we need top of the rotation arms. no more happ-like trades plz.

im still upset that Rogers were too cheap to get Darvish. he just cost money, no prospects needed. and he's a goldmine..

The way I look at it as, Sanchez would be better than nothing and he's only 28 years old.

Exactly, aside from Morrow, or a "Mentally" healthy Romero, Sanchez is much better than anyone else in our pitching rotation.

Also Rogers was cheap, but we still could have gotten Cespedes(who is now a centerpiece for Oakland) for a relatively cheap deal( vs say Fielder money), or Jorge Soler this past year. Both seem like they will be fantastic players and we got neither.

If New York is bounced by Detroit and they blame the drop off on the team being to old, would there be any interest in taking over ARod's contract? What would they have to throw in (beyond cash) to make us look at relieving him of that contract?

Robinson Cano. I would never take A-Rod. His contract is awful and I doubt anyone in Toronto would want him. Let him stay New York.

Brewers' Marcum: Blue Jays 'are on my list'

Marcum told his agent he would like to keep the Brewers as an option because he has enjoyed his time there, but with Milwaukee having a lot of young, quality pitchers coming up through their system, Marcum believes his chances of returning are slim.

Blue Jays general manager Alex Anthopoulos has said improving his team's starting rotation is his No. 1 concern heading into the off-season.

Marcum, who started 21 games this season going 7-4 with a 3.70 ERA, said he would be interested in returning to Toronto if Anthopoulos came calling.

"They're on my list that's for sure," he said. "I enjoyed my time there, I loved the city, loved the coaching staff, so it's definitely a place that I would be interested in."

I don't see us getting an ace anytime soon so a guy like Marcum is the best we can hope for.
Hes proven he can pitch good in the AL East and who knows maybe he can light a fire under
Romero.

Schad will poop himself. he hates Marcum's delivery and thought he was a rotator cuff implosion waiting to happen

I think we'll be lucky if we can get Edwin Jackson and Marcum back. That's really the best case scenario in my mind for this offseason.

Truthfully rolling with those guys in our lineup we'd at least have a chance to compete:

Morrow
Jackson
Romero
Marcum
Alvarez

It's not going to scare the daylights from anyone but it's pretty decent and a lot better than we've rolled out for several years now.

Watch AA sign Lohse, Jackson, and Marcum. I can see it now, AA holding a press conference, making the "suck it" gesture to the media, and acting like a bad-ass answering questions.

Jackson
Marcum
Romero (only LHP, so put him in the middle)
Lohse
Morrow

Rogers can just tack a dollar on to their plans, and fund the 200 mill+ splash! Get'r done AA, get'r done!

P.S. Sign Josh Hamilton, and B.J. Upton too while you're at it.

As much as I like Marcum, we aren't signing him. Too many elbow problems lately, DL stints every year since post TJ Surgery.
