'Price, a Long Island guy, kept telling D-Will “I’m home.” After crowd got behind D-Will, he said, “This is my home now.”

He's a project, and when we are healthy he is behind Nene, Okafor, Seraphin and Booker in the rotation. He's an energy/hustle guy and works best running with Wall. His shot has looked horrible so far though, but im convinced it is a confidence issue, his form looks fine.

I'm surprised none of you guys picked up on Ariza. He's our worst player by far. Just doesnt even look interested out there.

Anyway, that was quite a good game. Congrats on the home win and the arena, uniform, the whole shebang looks good!

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

Price wasn't home he's from East Massapequa, New York...what a stretch statement that was...and where does the 52nd pick in the 2009 NBA draft get off talking **** to DWill??? he's a filler in the NBA who put on his strong Island tough guy act...

And that was definitely a flagrant, he was more interested in making contact with DWill than attempting to go for the ball...I thought he initiated contact before even trying to go for ball...

Congrats on everything, Brooklyn. You guys really did look solid out there.

Keep your expectations for Blatche in check. We've been teased by good performances for years -- let them come as pleasant surprises, gifts from the vet min, so to speak.

Good luck this season.

Long time suns fan, but have lived in BK for 5 years:

This team looks VERY deep. Like, 10 deep. I was at the game tonight, and yes, Blatche was nuts, but I don't expect that consistently. But Watson as a backup is HUGE. I loved how we played D-Will at 2 several times, with Watsons at 1 and Joe J at 3. Avery is very comfortable with this team, because this is actually a really large team. When your 2 guard is 6'7'' 240 and your point guard is probably the strongest point guard in the league, you have some shuffle room. As a Suns fan, I can attest to J-Chill being probably one of the biggest offensive liabilities in the league. He has NO outside shot whatsoever, and as a slasher he's not very consistent. But, on this team, his function is so clear and so valuable - I think it was a great signing.

Evans looks like he'll be negligible, and teletovic needs to get a clue on defense and figure a way to stop chucking shots. Those two are my biggest issues right now. Humph looks fine, Brook will put up 20 a game for us, and Wallace looks like the perfect 3. This team is legit, and I'm really excited. Home court in the playoffs, here we come.

I think the versatility we have is key...I don't know if anyone watched the season preview of the Nets on NBATV, but they talked about how offensively, we legitimately have 4 guys in our starting lineups that are all very good post players that can and will exploit most of their matchups down on the block (Deron/JJ/Wallace/Lopez).

And defensively, the great thing about having a lineup like that is we can always switch on screens, and we're still not at a mismatch, because Deron can guard 1s, 2s, and even some 3s, while JJ can guard 1s, 2s, 3s, and even some 4s, while Wallace can cover 1-4, and maybe an undersized 5.

its only preason, but...

I thought we looked great offensively and playing end to end. i think our biggest DEFENSIVE asset will be how much pressure would put on teams with our offense and tempo causing both fatigue and putting pressure on them to match us basket for basket

still, its only preseason, but...

Lopez looks like he is going to be a beast. he had 18 points that all looked effortless. he boxed out and went aggressively for at least half his rebounds. he put himself out of position less. he fit in perfectly offensively regardless of what we were doing. on the down side, his high screens are awful.

then again, its only preseason, but...

blatche played very well. he took a few bad shots, had a few bad turnovers, had a few bone headed plays and had a few head scratchers on defense. but most of those, offensively, seemed more like trying too hard them low bbiq plays. and the good outweight those negative plays last night by at least 2 to 1. he moved really well without the ball in the paint, was really active on both ends and especially the offensive glass and never stopped the ball from moving.

but its only preaseason.. but i mean...

Watson looks great. so much energy off the bench. keeps that tempo super high with the second unit. there isnt a lineup we put on the floor that isnt in ultra agressive attack mode. and that is going to be a huge plus. we also never have a lineup out there without 2 three point assasins. we havent even shot it well yet. if those fall in any given game we will be super tough to stop.

but all of the above is super duper whooper overanalayzing because its preseason. but eihter way, im excited!

Watched most of the game on encore and I still can't contain how giddy I am about having gotten Watson. Great backup for D-Will.

I'm really looking forward to MarShon's return. The guy has gained the interest of so many teams and would be starting on many of them, yet he's our 6th man!

I have a feeling Blatche will give you guys a solid year. He's motivated, hes in shape, and hes hungry (not for food this time). I think Wizards fans are curbing excitement because we've seen this attitude change happen 3 times now.

Atlanta Hawks fan...... 38 minutes for JJ is nothing...... dude is an iron man that hardly ever misses time due to injury and never complains, plays hurt. trust me by mid-season he will be a fan favorite. maybe even the best player on the team, just not the leader, that is D-Will job.

yup, he's even arguably or 7th or 8th man. we are super deep when it comes to offense. not only depth in numbers, but alot of these guys can play and score at multiple positions.

Great effort by the squad last night. I'm keeping my expectations in check into the games really count though. I was very pleased with that 2nd unit's performance. For the first time in a long time, quality depth is on the bench.

{Thumbs up}
OKC Thunder fan, too.

I got chills when the crowd chanted "Brooklyn" as things got heated between D-Will and Price. Can't even imagine what'll happen on opening night.

It's still surreal to attend a Nets game where the team received consistent support from the stadium. I know it's the first game at Barclays, but after years of fans of visitors and people more or less losing interest in the team after the third quarter, it almost feels like the borough's playing a big joke on the Nets.

Let's go, Nets.
