What i dont get is why is it that the GB read only ban 60 days starts from the time of apeal instead of from the time you got the Ban. Wouldnt it make more sence to make it from the time they got the ban you can keep everything else but i feel its only just that the clock starts ticking from the time you got the ban instead of the time you sent out the email.
the way it works now everyone will just post there apeals the sec they get it but lets say someone does not know they are on temp gb ban and dont start the appeal right away now and 30 days later they send out there email.... they would have to wait an extra 60 days so 90 days total from the time they got gb read only access. Yes it is possible for that to happen for the simple reason they may spend most of the time on other boards instead of the GB but yet they are being punished longer then they should be.

Re: GB Red Only Ban
Myst,
The reason for the 60 days is so The Moderator Committee has the time to review every appeal.
If a user got the suspension 55 days ago, that would give The Committee 5 days to make a decision.
I made it 60 days to make sure The Moderator Committee had enough time to receive all of the appeals they were likely to receive.
Those are simply the rules.

It should also be pointed out that users are informed that they were banned; unless they are ignoring their PMs, then they are aware that they have been banned from the General Board from the moment that it happens, so the scenario you depict in your post is essentially impossible.
