In other news, Ham is running 13 hours at this point..

Will we ever finish this draft?

I think switching to 6 hours per pick should speed things up. There are only a few really holding up things, and a few others who seem to always make their picks in a specific time window (me being one of them). Making the hour limit smaller and forcing us to send lists could really speed things up.

Also, it's Roto, so I think now that most of us are now just drafting bench guys...we'll be taking much riskier picks, making the odds of everyone having similar targets less likely. In other words, sending a small list isn't going to play your hand, as everyone is going to have vastly different targets IMO.

But you have a limited number of games played per position, so you'll usually be changing your starters only if they are hurt or suck. Or if one of your bench players turns out to be really good.

well, this draft took WAAAAAY too long. I thought we would have been done by now, anyway the thing is: After 11pm ET on Thursday, I won't be able to make my picks, unless somebody emails me all the players that were picked since my last pick...

anybody up for this Call of Duty?

Sundays are always slow. We are still tracking to finish before the start of the season.

@floppy: did you not read it dude, it's not about when the draft is gonna end, it's that I will have VERY VERY limited internet access for the last 4 rounds...

I still think that we need to lower the pick time to 6 hours. We'll finish in time either way, but for the sake of keeping people attentive and involved in this league, I think reducing the time might help.

My bad. I thought you were making two separate points. But I guess you just meant it was too slow to finish before you are offline?

I was wondering when Vucevic would go. When guys like Robin Lopez and Okafor get picked before hime, I was wondering if had been forgotten. Too bad he didn't last a couple more picks...

Just turning over every rock looking for bigs. He is putting up 8-7 in 18 minutes in preseason though. Maybe he'll be good. Kind of a log jam there in Orlando though.
"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

I guess karma is done kicking my butt. I dodged a bullet there trading down from #4 to #5 (from Love to Wade)

Obviously missing 2-6 weeks of the season isn't a season killer, but, it ain't good neither.

hey, I'm up! And I'm glad to see Rose go. MAkes me feel better about picking him in H2H around this point of the draft, when in Roto he's probably even more of a risk.

He's far less of a risk in roto given that with limited games per position, there is virtually no opportunity cost of having him lying in your bench.
