Have you thought of that if you guys had any players for Jennings to pass to? You have to evaluate players under their circumstances.

Hey, amigo, I get every Bucks game on tv. We'll see what Jennings does this year with Ellis and the other players for a full year. The Bucks don't lack guys who can shoot, they lack a defensive presence especially on the interior with Bogut gone. But since this is a Rockets forum, this is my last post on this subject.

Jennings is a bad point guard regardless of the talent around him. The thing with point guards is that if they're talented playmakers and they're willing passers it'll show itself in some way. It's easy to say that he has no one to pass to but these are NBA players, they needed to have some talent coming into the league. A good point guard would find ways to get those players going. Jennings doesn't do this at all, he only looks for his own shot and that's it.

Ricky Rubio has the same problem with the lack of talent around him but he tremendously improved the Wolves offense nonetheless. Granted they have Kevin Love who's a better weapon than anything on the Bucks, but the year before they were bad offensively. They also have Pekovic, but it was clear he was not the same player after Rubio was injured. His best options that weren't those two big men were Wesley Johnson, Martell Webster, and Anthony Tolliver. Putrid!

While I say this, and I'm a huge Jeremy Lin, he's not great in this aspect himself. He's definitely a willing passer and has the vision, but I don't know about his point guard "instincts". However as we all know he's a super hard worker and not every point guard can come in as talented as Ricky Rubio. I was still very young when he entered the league but I doubt that Steve Nash came in right away with elite point guard playmaking.

Ray Allen 3-10, 0-5 from 3, horrible signing.

Well done, true Rockets fan! Never in my life I saw a fan base took so much pleasure in a bad game by its own player in a PRESEASON game. Well done indeed!

it's too early to tell
but now Lin played worse than last year preseason
some players use preseason as warmup
they don't go all out
some play all out because they want to make the team and crack the rotation
in Lin case
he knows he's the starter for sure
anyone think the two backup will replace him before all-star break?

Last season he wouldn't even have been able to stay in front of Westbrook. This preseason he kept a hand in his face.

I like TD but his pg instincts pale in comparison to Lin. And Machado sucks at anything that doesn't involve passing the ball

im basing it on the 3 pre season games he's played in. Ray is shooting 44.8% on the field while lin is shooting, idk somewhere near 22%? And yeah, for that big of a contract, it is a horrible signing.

Compare what we r paying Lin to how many seats he will sell per game....willing to bet we make money off of him

Old ray isn't gonna sell too many tickets

HUNDRED damnit HUNDRED...

Spelling is more important than preseason... but who needs to spelling when you have computers.
By that logic, preseason means absolutely NOTHING.

As long as Lin averages about 10 pts and 5 assists, he's going to be an allstar for years to come for the rockets. He may not get the team to the playoffs but he's serviceable.

Most of this seems to be coming from NYC media. Not really concerned. They'll move on eventually.

So I checked the Rockets schedule and there are only 2 games all season that are on ESPN/ABC/TNT! How can people who don't live in Houston watch Jeremy Lin? I also checked the Knicks schedule and it seems like they have at least 20 games on ESPN/ABC/TNT. Why doesn't Houston get any love?

How do they watch? League pass. Lin had to do what was best for him, but it was a major downer as far as the NBA was concerned. Lin playing for Knicks this year would mean much larger ratings especially in the overseas market. Not nearly so much with him playing for Houston.
