Derrick already jumping on his shots?

Post#1 » by kulaz3000 » Wed Oct 17, 2012 2:45 am

Photos of him warming up before the preseason game against the Bucks. In one of the photos he is clearly off the ground on his jumper.

I agree. He does have a naturally wide frame, but he looks a lot more thick on his upper body, but that said, i hope once he is allowed to be more active, he trims down a little. You don't want him to put that additional weight and pressure on his legs and more specifically his knees. On top of that, you want him to regain his speed and quickness, and with that additional weight, it could be a detrement more than a gain.

It's understandable that he is using his energy to put on some pounds because you're left with only having to do so much activity, but remember when Oden gained 'too much' muscle during his rehab, and it just put more pressure than required on his rehabbing knees and made it worse.

Somebody mentioned KC Johnson saying he was out for another 8-12 MONTHS during the game tonight? Did he mean 8-12 WEEKS? I was thinking Feb. was the target which would be a little more than 12 weeks.

He didnt mean an additional 8-12 months. He was just saying that although Rose is shooting jumpshots, the initial 8-12 month timetable for his return has not changed

i agree with this. i don't like seeing all that extra bulk up top. i'd prefer to see him stay lean with a stronger core.

I'm pretty sure he's been doing this for like a month or two but I may be mistaken

He has been shooting for awhile, but I don't know how long he has been jump shooting and getting off the ground. Only about a week or so again, I believe he was only doing stationary shooting, and it should be any day now when he starts to cut again.

Has he started cutting movements yet? Or is that in a week or so?

Is it sad that I haven't been this scared in years?

That forth pic it looks like he's wearing shoulder pads his shoulders are huge..geez!

I can see it now..Rose is posting up and he lowers his shoulder to get room for a jump hook and Stacey King says "Don't do'em like that D Rose!"

Wow. Why did someone photoshop Derrick's face onto 1970's Arnold Schwarzenegger?

I'm exaggerating obviously, but ... man alive. Derrick was already so strong going to the basket. Dudes are literally going to be bouncing off him.

for those who want Ben Gordon back, Derrick is bringing back the body type.

Some doctors prefer their patients to not use any brace at all when coming back from ACL reconstruction surgery. I guess it may restrict the knee from its natural movement. I know my knee brace gave me terrible shin splints and that in return hurt my lower back.

I keep hearing "cutting"

What is this and why is Rose scared of this?

I only know of cutting AKA losing weight, cutting to burn fat for weightlifting (which i'm doing now)

Is that it? And if so, why are people afraid of cutting?
