You got Telfair leading the bench unit which was horrible tonight (worst player in +/- tonight), can Marshall do it even worse? To tell you the truth, I'm not high on him, never have been. Too bad all SG prospects were off the table by #13, still bitter at Houston for taking Lamb.

Dudley with 16 pts in only 16 mins was nice, Scola and Dragic were solid as well. Gortat needs to be more assertive on the offensive end, still very soft, relying too much on fakes and finesse plays. Beasley, today was shooting more like was asked from him but still in a good passing, unselfish mode. It's the bench that keeps giving bad indications, hope they get better in season start. Last two seasons we were not in the playoffs mainly due to a slow start, need to be ready this year right from the beggining.

And thank you for the stream, nice quality, website bookmarked already.

When your starting cneter gets abused by the Caveman Kaman, and lets Elton Brand score on him in an And-1 Situation, you know theres a problem.

Gortat better get it together quick. Frankly, I'm sick and tired of seeing his weak ass try and play defence.

Our bench dont look to awesome based on what i just saw.
Morris did a ton of small mistakes i feel, shooting too early and taking too much time after getting a rebound.
He got stripped so many times because he brought the ball down after a rebound and not taking care of the ball in general. So i doubt we let Scola play off the bench.

But our starting unit looks pretty awesome. Scola and Gortat are scrappy skillfull post-up players while Beasley and Dudley are both very capable of cutting and shooting the 3 making it a nice combination. Beasley played within the offence which is a good thing but I feel that he should be a little bit more selfish for the better of the team (the irony).

And i hate to say it but i miss Frye ;(

New guy here to the board...

Good win but the bench definitely needs work. While I hope Shannon's ok, I do not like his one-on-one style...he always feels like he's going to shoot. I don't think he's enough of a passer for the Suns. That said, he can create his own shot and that, on this team, has its value. Telfair just isn't good and still struggles running a team...I would like to see Kendall cut his teeth out there and not have Bassy get the full-time back-up PG position.

First unit looked solid...Gortat seemed to pick up his defensive intensity in the second half. Goran, Scola, and Dudley feel solid. Beasley will really shine when he feels more comfortable, less tentative, but he has been pretty unselfish. Morris will be fine....he's trying too hard.

I like IKE...let's keep Diogu...we need his rebounding (JO looked pretty good out there too.)

Patience will be the mantra with this team and they will shine in time...
Pazienza....pazienza...pazienza....and before you know it, we're celebrating in "Suns City" baby....

I like Diogu too. Sure he was bounced around on different teams but he's a big body that can grab rebounds and give us solid 10-12 minutes a game.

Ike has to stay. I'm still not sure why he has been getting so little minutes. But with Frye out for the year, the team needs a home town guy, well at least an AZ college player. Ike had five rebounds in six minutes.

So are we supposed to expect Wes Johnson to completely implode in the regular season? He looks pretty good from what we've seen so far.

I'll wait til first 10 games or so to really determine what kind of player Johnson will be for us.

His shot looks pretty nice from the outside when he just puts it up but I did see two instances last night where he faced up did a pump fake or two and took a bad, defended shot. Because he has very low ball handling skills I can see this happening often where he can't get out of a bad situation.

I'd rather have Beasley get into a groove and figure out how to pass to his teammates early, like he is doing now...it's better to learn that first instead of just chucking. Once he gets comfortable, the team will be wanting him to start taking more shots, and he won't say no....lol

Well Beas is the only guy in the starting lineup that hasn't played with Dragic before. Gortat (although Lopez played some of those minutes once Gortat moved tothe starting lineup) and Dudley both played most of Goran's minutes at the same time before he was traded to Houston, and then Scola played many minutes with him once Lowry went down.
