Probably because he can play off the other players on Detrioit and finish up plays, BKnight is a good pg to have too.

Because the UCONN situation was absolute crap

His situation had nothing to do with it if you watched any of their games.

Meyer's dunk was awesome...but Val's as a lot more open than the other two, Drummond literally dunked right over Illaysova. I liked Leonard's dunk more than Vals.

Your in denial if you think that the coaching situation/strategies and his teammates, the guards...especially the point guard in particular, didn't have anything to do with it.

The situation surrounding UCONN and Calhoun, the fact that he has shoot happy guards, and came to the team late. One i have seen glimpses of is Dre look a little disinterested when he's not initially involved entering the game, but so far he's come back and proved me wrong.

If kemba walker played with AD1, AD1 be probably #2 pick in the draft

Looks like the NBA just got a major infusion of a bunch of athletic freak big men. There really aren't that many bigs currently in the league with the kind of athleticism we're seeing from these rookies. I could see them posing problems for a lot of teams even as rookies this year.

It is going to be very interesting to see which of these rookies has an impact in the regular season and if any of the underwhelming rookies in preason can turn it around for the regular season. I am shocked at how invisible Micheal Kidd Gilchrist has been, will things change for him in the regular season?

Vals dunk was great. Rookie big men usually dont show that much assertiveness in their offensive moves.
Leonard looks like he has some serious athleticism for a big man

Valanciunas and Leonard played twice against each other (as members of their respective U19 National teams). Leonard's combined stats in those two games were 3 points and 3 rebounds. JV's - 53 points and 26 rebounds. :D

I watched almost every single game. Napier couldnt get him the ball to save his life. Boatright was better, but still a freshman himself. drummond couldnt create for himself and didnt have a real post up game. So the end result is a weak offensive game. most of the times when he broke out it was rebounding and getting put backs. I've said all along get him with soemone that could get him the ball at the right time and he will look much improved in the NBA.

Yeah, remember those games. Leonard was extremely raw, while Val was extremely skilled at such a young age. They were and still are quite a contrast in big men. Leonard is very much still a work in progress.

He ran away from the ball in college and refused to go near the rim in his first 25 or so games for fear that he would be fouled.
