Not a big fan of Panda hitting 4th since that probably means they'll still walk Posey then Panda will hit into a DP, but who else is gonna hit 4th? Arias would be nice at 3rd once in a while, no idea why he hasn't even got a chance to play all series...

And needless to say, this is do or die. This isn't a Reds team we're talking about, the Cards know how to close a series out and I doubt we'd even win 2 in a row.

I kinda like the changes, although I don't want Pence in there at all. I would also like to see Arias, but Sandoval has the highest postseason batting average of all the starters and Crawford has been pretty good, so I understand it. I'm not sure who you'd want to pull out in order to play Arias, unless he can play in the outfield, which I'm not aware of. I have a bad feeling this game is going to come down to another strikeout or double play by Pence in a critical situation.

They did actually test him out in LF after Milky was gone, but they never went for it in a game. 1-2-3 and we're gone, hopefully Timmy is strong tonight...

Not good. The hitters again look lifeless and totally confused and Lincecum looks like he just doesn't have it, he's all over the place.

Worst possible start I could imagine .. I'll be glad if it stays at 2 in this inning

Timmy just doesn't have it .. Painful to see :-?

Well, could have been worse, but 25 pitches and 2 runs in the first inning...ugh.

We probably should have started Zito instead, and brought Timmy off the bench if he struggled. Now who do we bring in if he gives up another run or two?

Only problem with that is who would you start in a Game 5? Bumgarner is done, they can't throw him out there again and Vogelsong and Cain can't pitch it. Lincecum really had to start one of these two games (4 or 5). Ideally yes, I love him coming out of the pen but the fact is the Giants were relying on Bumgarner to start 2 games and when he imploded (again) that really messed up all the other plans, now we're seeing the ripple effects of that.

Not a bad at bat for Pablo. Didn't get anything out of it but he made Wainwright work a bit and at least got something in the outfield.
