The Blue Jays announced that they have claimed right-hander Tyson Brummett off of waivers from the Phillies. Toronto's 40-man roster is full after claiming Brummett, Cory Wade and Scott Cousins.

Brummett made his MLB debut earlier this month, getting two strikeouts against the Nationals. The 28-year-old spent most of the season in the upper minors, posting a 3.20 ERA with 8.3 K/9 and 2.9 BB/9 in 90 innings. He started eight games and pitched out of the bullpen in 36 others this year, pitching at Double-A and Triple-A.

Yay more scraps from other teams!!! :) The world wants to become Eco-friendly right? So why not recycle other team's trash. I'm so ecstatic for next year with our amazing pick-ups
Watch out Detroit/Oakland/Texas/Baltimore, we're winning the pennant next year

Part of AA's plan was to load up the triple-A team with experienced pitchers in case of emergency needs at the MLB level. Thats what killed the JAYS this year. Once they starting 5 went down, JAYS had no one to call up.

so if we look at it from a triple-A point of view, this is a good signing compared to last season....

im betting this is just the 1st addition to the minors as a veteran.

Emergency need, but it's not like our current pieces are elite . Aside from Morrow, The rotation guys who went down should have been those in AAA getting called up.

The AAA team needs to win too, especially now if the Jays want to stay in Buffalo and avoid the PCL nightmare again.
