Really piss poor first quarter. I don't understand how we're this close. Careless turnovers all over the place.

At least we're deep. If somebody's having a bad night, there's no shortage of guys that can take his place.

Johnson has done some things well, but his shot selection blows, and that's the last thing we need.

5 turnovers between Cousins and Evans, and Thornton ain't shooting well. We won't win much if our 3 main guys are playing like ****.

Can't get anywhere near the rim with Howard in there.

Also, these fouls suck.

Luck, and the Lakers bench is dreadful.

That was satisfying. Cousins played huge at the end.

If anything, at least Smart has this team playing hard.

DeMarcus is still pretty bad defensively.

I don't know how he managed to pull it off, but he's actually a worst PNR defender then last year atleast judging by this pre-season.

It's like Smart told him "Look - when there's a pick and roll, you hedge forward no matter what - bump the ball handler - and then your work is done and you can start jogging to the paint from the 3pt line just intime to see the other team dunk or someone else fouling their big inside our paint to prevent an easy dunk".

Offensively same old story as last year too. Let's hope he'll continue to hit that jumper consistantly this year, cause basically what he has to offer is that and offensive rebounds.

Pretty dissapointed from him overall i've gotta say. It's just dissapoints me that a guy this creative, with his footwork, his length, and his strength doesn't seem to want and dominate the post and goes with jumpers and fadeaways.

All I know is DeMarcus took it to the rack when it counted..

Great preseason win despite the game being played 8on5...Actually 9on5 if you count Stern.

I think that it is a result of the pressure defense that Smart is trying to implement. I think that it is a decent scheme against some teams but it definitely doesn't work against the Lakers. Or at least not the Lakers with addition of Dwight.

I hope that he doesn't turn out to be Rasheed 2.0. As soon as he gets the ball at 20 feet you know that a jumper is coming no matter what. Smart needs to force him into the post, none of that "Oh well, Demarcus is gonna do what he wants" nonsense.

oh yeah-

Lane looked sqaushed for Boogie tonight. This is what happens when you don't address the needs you had in the offseason and don't play the need fillers you do have next to him. Although there was plenty of shooting power in the lineup that finished but not a lot of defense.

Good win. Shouldn't have resigned Thompson to that deal and what a steal in getting James Johnson. Had a bad night on the boxscore but his defense is top notch.

Our interior defense is bad, really bad, Too many easy baskets. Too many dunks.

Well done guys....nice to see you beat the Lakers....

Thornton, btw, seems like you best clutch shooter...I'm always surprised that he get's the fewer minutes but I guess he doesn't play defense?

Good luck this year!

I think the Kings can be a sleeper team this season.

They have a lot of fire power on the perimeter and an up and coming big.

I honestly don't think we can.

We'll be last year's Detroit pretty much imo.

Return to Sacramento Kings
