Yea, absolutely. When I think about the style of play that was around during Cousy's time, I think of everyone playing a strictly fundamental game. No flashiness, no dunks, and no passes like the one in the GIF. I could easily see a Rudio, Rondo, or CP3 making that same pass.

I think Cousy would translate a little better than people think. The last game he played (for Boston) is online and one thing that struck me is he was faster than I anticipated. Just as fast as Jerry West, which is fast. And this was when Cousy was old. Not having a jumpshot is prob a bigger issue than his athleticism

LoL funny you mentioned it, a guy on the Heat board posted a video of this play and it has the Cibona coach's reaction @ 0:25 and 1:06. His reaction was priceless.

To provide some context : Cibona is a basketball team based in the capital city of Croatia, Zagreb, while Parztizan is a team from Belgrade, the capital of Serbia... and this game was played also played in Zagreb, at the finals of the Adriatic League ( think of it as the superbowl, 1 game, winner takes the title)... There is still some dislike between the Croatian people and the Serbs for obvious reasons and everybody in the whole arena was rooting against Partizan as it was basically a home game for Cibona... I watched this game live on tv and I was literally wtfing the whole last minute and then... then Kecman sinks that three....

btw here is the same video with commentary, you can hear both of the commentatory going WTF HARD the whole time :lol:
