Team in the leauge who have said they are leaving:

DiscoFunk (woody)
BWW

(those are both teams I will delete if they are still there tonight, unless the managers tell me explicitly not to.)

Teams that are staying as far as I know:

Hopper
The Sherlockian
TheMan
hailfires
Portuguese Bastards
insfo
Frostbite
H-Town Goats
Barbosas and Mamosas
Ham I Am
I'm So Money

Seems like I need to find one more team by tomorrow. I'm working on it but if anyone knows a good manager who wants in please email me or PM me.

Ok, I booted DiscoFunk and BWW, and added Break's brother. We have 12 teams and I have finalized (locked) the membership. We are good to go for the draft tomorrow.

This league will prove even more difficult to snag a Timberwolf. :D

Don't worry, you'll be able to tell we have very different opinions on some players. I'd liken his drafting style to "theman", (in other words....easy pickins' )

Does he also refer to himself in the 3rd person when he picks? And does he write press releases about his fantasy players and his own managerial acumen during the season? 8-)

Bidding 28 dollars on an unnamed player has to be the biggest rush of all time. It turned out to be Monta. I finished first. Very enjoyable night. TY for the invite WB.

I got lost at that one. It was fun. I like my team at this point... but who knows how it'll compete. I've got 8 players that are top 100 quality. While no 1st round level players, I do have two to three 2nd round potential and one to two 3rd round potential players.

That was surprisingly fun. You guys were good sports over the draft bug we had. I think I know how to reproduce it, so I'm hoping I can get it fixed.

I have to say that was a bit frustrating. I was in and out of the draft last night because I had some things going on at the same time. I put it on auto draft but at at one point, it no longer let me nominate players or bid on players. I also have to say that I couldn't find the total value we had going into the draft until the draft had started, so when I set my player values, I went off of what the average and projected cost for each player was. That inflated some of my values (i.e. Wade)

But when all was said and done, I actually like the team I ended up with. So I guess, no harm, no foul.

Not a bad outcome considering my 1st 9 picks were made by the system. Other than 3-4 players, i am quite happy with my team. That being said, I am always looking to trade... so send your offers :)

That was fun. It was a little different but I think I might like it better than a normal live draft which I tend to not like. So for a live draft I set my order and let the computer do the drafting.

I definiately noticed some tendencies. Hopefully, I can remember them for next year. As for my team. I probably bid on some guys I shouldn't have and passed on some I should have bid on. I waited too long to spend the last of my money.

My week one match up looks very tough vs. teAmerica.

Looking at the teams here is how many top 100 players (based on Yahoo's O-Rank) each team has:
I'm So Money - 8
Frostbite - 8
TeAmerica - 10
H-Town Goats - 5
Breaks 4th Rounders - 10 (including 7 between 39-52)
Ham I Am - 10 (Lou Williams just under the wire at 99)
Insfo - 8 (Does not include the $24 man Markeif Morris)
Portuguese Bastards - 8 (But 3 of the 8 are injured)
Hopper - 8
The Sherlockian - 4 (I see a lot of streaming in your future)
Man Yuuuup - 10 (once KLove is helathy) (formerly Man 0 Man)
Hailfires - 10

Don't know if it means any thing but it is an easy way of comparing teams.

So the players you picked yourself you are not happy with? :P

Price enforcing was the rule early and late. This left few bargains and all teams equally poorish at the end. LBJ went 83, Durant, 80, CP3 74, Wade 62. All 4 of these owners have fewer great players as a result of their big ticket. My strategy was to bid often making sure nobody got a good player cheap. Surprisingly the 28 bux I spent on an invisible Monta was not that far out of line in retrospect. I only have 2 PGs so that is an area of concern. I bought all 13 of my players by pick 95 so I missed the draft after that point. I am flooded with forwards and quite motivated to move 1 or 2. Thad, kawhi, Fariied, RAnderson, Mayo, George, Humphries, Ersan if u need a forward I got em.

So I've finished in 1st during the regular season last two years, but Skai has been the Champion the last two. One thing to note is that he's had Durant last year and Lebron the year before. In my other auction league, the champions had Lebron last year and Durant the year before.

Skai again has Durant, so he may have the winning formula for auction leagues. (Plus he drafted well supporting Durant.)

My whole draft changed when I ended up with Bogut for $11 right near the beginning of the draft. Suddenly my team had an identity, and my usual plan of picking up a bunch of overlooked players on the cheap went out the window and instead I was going for the classic Rondo/Howard/Smith/(Bogut) build.

I don't think I did a great job of supporting those players, though. Ideally I'd have a separate list of $0 and $1 players (to go after when everyone is out of money) for each possible build type. But I was nowhere near that prepared. A number of guys got snapped up in the part of the draft where nominating = getting them, who I could have had if only I had thought to nominate them.
