What do you want from the Jazz for Bledsoe? (Merged)

Post#1 » by Hoops Addict » Fri Oct 19, 2012 3:45 pm

Jazz fan coming in peace to talk trades.

Bledsoe is pretty good.....nto sure of his ceiling. You already have C Paul........an awesone player. Bledsoe is more valuable on another team where he can play more.

What assets on the Jazz do you want for Bledsoe.

Do you like Milsap? Jefferson? Jeremy Evans? GS 1st round pick? Pick?

We will not trade you Favors or Kanter.

Any fair deals?

It's hard to see the Clippers making a trade to the Jazz involving Bledsoe. GS 1st won't be an option, the Clippers are in win now, a player is more valuable, and with Golden State having a good team, the pick isn't very promising.

Jeremy Evans is a great athlete, but not a good enough basketball player. The Clippers certainly would not trade for Al Jefferson who makes $15 million and is expiring, and similarly, a Millsap is also expiring, though his contract makes more sense money wise.

The only feasible trade I could think of is the Clips targeting Gordon Hayward. He has good length, good lateral quickness, can handle, pass, shoot and defend. Lastly, he's also on a rookie deal and therefore will fit well contract wise. I also like him as a player, he does some nice things. To me that would be the only guy that makes sense if a trade was to happen between the two teams involving Bledsoe.

No one since Ebled is CP3's #1 backup off the bench.

However, I'd trade Turiaf for Milsap right now. :)

I really hope we don't trade Bledsoe until we sign CP3 to a new, long term deal this summer...

Bledsoe and Filler in a deal that brings back Burks and Kanter would be huge. Like noted though the team would prefer to keep him and very much so until Paul signs his new deal

Burks and Kanter? You know the old saying of dont trade a big for a small if the talent is similar. Jazz won't trade their young bigs for Bled, and I wouldn't either if I were them. Not to mention a young big, and a young wing, that's overratting Bledsoe.

I forgot about Burks though, Clippers would probably look at him also.

It probably would have to be a three team trade, since Utah has a boat load of good bigs but Clippers are not looking for bigs, they are looking for shooters. I like Hayword and Burks, but I think Clips are still looking for better shooters then that. What third team out there needs a big and would be willing to give up a shooter? If there is a team like that, then we could have a deal.

Clippers get: Chase Budinger, Alec Burks, Luke Ridnour and Louis Amundsen and 2013 Warriors 1st

Jazz get: Eric Bledsoe and Caron Butler

TWolves get: Paul Milsap

Why for Clippers?
The SF position on the Clipper offense basically spots up in the corner most of the time. Buddinger, like Jamal Crawford was one of the best at the corner three last season. He hit over 50% of his corner three attempts. Burks adds another young player at a wing position. The pick could be packaged with our pick to move up next season, plus the Clips save 6 million off next seasons payroll..

PF-Griffin (36) Odom (6) Barnes (6)
SF-Buddinger (24) Hill (12) Barnes (6) Crawford (6)
C-Jordan (30) Odom (18)
PG-Paul (36) Billups (12)
SG-Billups (12) Crawford (24) Burks (24)

Deep line up:

Griffin 36
Paul 36
Jordan 30
Buddinger 24
Billups 24
Odom 24
Crawford 24
Barnes 12
Hill 12
Burks 12

That's a sick 10 man rotation with mix of vets and young players.

The Jazz want Eric Bledsoe.

Post#9 » by tatertotsnjuice » Tue Oct 23, 2012 10:38 pm

We want him. What do you want for him? Keep in mind Burks/Favors/Kanter/Hayward are probably untouchable.

Since you guys have CP3 Im thinking the Clips could be looking to deal him. Here is the offer I was considering:

Eric Bledsoe and Lamar Odom for Paul Millsap and Golden State's first round pick. Thought? Adjuments? Proposals?

Just let us take him off your hands already! :)

Yea, Im assuming a trade doesnt happen until CP3 is locked up.

Also Bledoe looks good but all Kanter/Hayward/Favors/Burks still look more promising than Bledsoe. So no way the Jazz involve any of them in the trade.

Clippers don't have a need for Milsap. I guess it would have to be a three way trade where a sharp shooter comes to the Clips.

Bledsoe is signed next season, so there is no hurry. Hill is retiring after this season, and it is a possibility that Billups might do the same, so minutes will open up at the wing by next season. There's no hurry for the Clippers to make any moves that don't benefit the team long term.

Millsap is expiring, and the Clippers can't afford to pay him to come off the bench. He's also a slightly smaller PF who can't double as a C, so he's not really a good option. I also think he's worn out his bench role.

A trade between the Clippers and the Jazz probably isn't the best scenario for both teams. Jazz won't give up Kanter or Favors, which they shouldn't, and while Burks and Hayward make sense positionally for the Clippers, both teams will have skepticism in trading their guys. Everyone always sees their own current player as having more potential than someone else's, that is until they leave, then you can name all their flaws and shortcomings.

22points, 11assists, 9steals and 5 rebounds last night. The guy is a bad ass mutha ----- and he is only 22 years old. That being said, I still wouldn't say he is untouchable. I think the Clips could use a shooter to compliment CP and the bigs.

Yah, he is quite the player. I agree with you that a shooter could really be a great compliment too.
