I was one of the few on the Raptors board that wanted Lillard badly compared to others. Even though he came from a small school the kid had talent. Some new poster called himself No-lillard to complete bash this kid. I haven't seen him for a long while I'm guessing he's was sent packing with his tail between his legs. Lillard's got a bright future you Blazer fans are lucky to have this kid.

Brandon Knight is going to prove all the haters wrong this season...

Call Hollinger and tell him he's a hater.

so the basis for your opinion is "because some one else said it"............

My basis is watching the Piston's last year and looking at guards who couldn't wait to cross midcourt to get their shot off. And while I'm at it, one of the common characteristics of bad teams is guards, whether point or shooting guards, who can't wait to get their shots off and to hell with the rest of the team. Not that a lot of the other Piston players were any better. The team bb IQ is low. A smart, unselfish pg would do wonders.

I do agree with Johnlac1 to an extent about Knight, however I'm not going to close the door on him just yet. He's only a second year point guard and he doesn't strike me as a bonehead that refuses to adapt and conform, and it seems that teams are more willing to stick to point guards in their development. Back then it seemed point guards were put on a more "our way or the high way" leash in trying to make them into pure points.

Yeah, it's really bufferoonery to watch a team that won 25 games last year and whose players almost wrestled each other for the ball in their eagerness to shoot and call them a bunch of consciousless gunners. But things are looking up for the Pistons....IF!!! they can get themselves a decent point guard. I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for Knight to turn into a C. Paul clone.

Bufferoonery....I like it  .

Anyway, can Charlotte fans give us an update on MKG? I didn't think he'd be lighting up the scoreboard, but how is he playing so far? Stats seem to show he's at least being active in limited minutes, which is what I would have expected. How limited has his offensive game been?

I don't get the angle that this guy is hating on Knight. I'm known on the Pistons board for being a Knight hater, but he is in no way a "selfish gunner". He is a limited passer who doesn't have the courtvision right now to be an elite passer. But in no way is he hogging the ball and preventing our big men from getting touches like this guy is trying to imply. This off base attack is pretty unintelligent.

Mike Scott has been pretty solid in pre-season.

My favorite part of that video is at 30 seconds. Really shows his understanding of the pick and roll game. Although kanter does a good job rotating over, I liked how lillard changed pace and made the hard right hand dribble to force Favors to show which created a passing angle to Leonard.

Last I heard Knight is not a rookie anymore.

Cmon people, take the offtopic arguments elsewhere.

I bet he'd love to be taking 23 29 shots a game.

He has a nice jumper. A little low and awkward but very quick and I've seen him do that stepback more than once.

What team were you watching!? that has never been the case. If anything Tay's our only chucker. a common characteristic of a bad team is youth and inexperience. you are straight ignorant or misunderstood if you think a 2nd year pg is going to come in and be top 5. has nothing to do with selfishness or bball iq. Again you make a statement such as Team bball iq is low and have 0 support.

Jennings and Monta can't play together, they are too selfish and both chuckers, also poor defenders.

Kinda OT, but I think Pistons fans are being a little too sensitive here. I haven't watched Knight much at all, but the few times I have watched him, I've never been impressed with his PG skills. Nothing really to show me he'd develop that route.

Not saying that he won't ever be a good PG or anything, just saying what I observed in the few games that I saw.

As a Bucks fan I'll have to agree: both Jennings and Ellis like to shoot a lot more than pass. But I want Ellis shooting the ball. That's his job. I don't think Jennings will ever be a good point guard although he can be a valuable combo guard. However I'm a realist, and I don't try to gloss over my team's deficiencies. The Piston's guards like to shoot too much as well. In certain settings that's alright. But unless you're Rose or Westbrook you can't have the player with the ball most of the time looking for his inefficient points at the expense of team play. Some fans have to take their blinders off and realize that many of their team's players are less than perfect. Stuckey and Knight could be valuable players, but they have to learn to take better shots. And I'll mention again I think the Piston's future looks brighter than my Bucks. But only if they pick up the team IQ... a lot of which can be remedied with a smart point guard.
