Andrew Bynum for DeMarcus Cousins

Post#1 » by take1fortheteam » Mon Oct 22, 2012 8:21 pm

Bynum was my first round pick this year, but I'm still thinking about offering him for DeMarcus Cousins. I had Cousins last year and he was old reliable which allowed me to win my league. I really want to offer the deal, but something tells me not to. I'm not sure what to do :-?

I wish I could, it's not like I have a bunch of guys at that level since I'm in a 16 team league.

Go for it. I watched Cousins this preseason and he showed some good signs of improvement. Talent wise he's better than Bynum. Drew is on a new team and it's always hard to predict numbers in situations like this. Also injury prone.

honestly, they are both great for fantasy teams, it is so subjective at this point, you should do what your gut feels.

If i had to tip the scale:
Slobban above hit all the major points. If i could add a point, it'll be about their risk/reward trade off.

The reward/upside for both of these players are in the same ball park. However the risk/deviation away from expectations with bynum is higher due to his new environment/injury history. Technically cousins is the safer pick so if you could do a 1-for-1 trade, by all means its not a bad decision. However, this wont be a deal that will make or break you.

tbh, if you seriously want Cousins, you MIGHT be able to reel in a little more since Bynum was rated so high this year. Try to sell him the idea that Bynum will be first option blah blah blah kinda stuff.
