This, but where do you think he'll be drafted? He probably won't be lottery but I could see first round pretty easily. He did an amazing job frustrating Sullinger in the Final Four game vs OSU. Mufasa I agree with everything else besides that and McAdoo, as I think he's too low. Also, I could see Zeller getting drafted in the top 3 but that depends on the team that winds up there.

Somewhere in the 20's is my guess. Fab Melo range.

I think teams are in high demand of a C who can block shots, so that's why I gave Withey a bump. As for Fab, Withey strikes me as being less on the side of "raw player who racks up blocks because he's tall " (also known as Thabeet's lounge) than Fab, and more on the side of actual impact defender positionally. I also think Withey is going to have some Marshall/T Zeller in him in that those guys were considered 20+ picks in 2011 but established their names on big programs, then by the time 2012 rolled around they found themselves thrown in as comfort food for the high risk athletic phenoms in the lottery. Finally I'm guessing there's going to be a lot of "next Mark Eaton???" thrown around for Withey just because everyone's going to be looking for only white guys to stylistically compare him to, and if you add in the need for it to be a luggish looking guy who sucks at offense, there's not a lot of other names to bring up but Eaton

I agree that he has a chance to go up in the lottery[that's a big chance though], but there's no way I can see him going above McAdoo in any case nor do I see Withey being anything higher than in the lower third of the lottery. I think Zeller and Gobert should be swapped the more that I think about it, and my opinion of 6/7/8 changes by the day[leaning toward Mitchell/Goodwin/Williams right now]

meh @ tarz, ledo and sulaimon.
double meh at both austin and tarz over adams
i think tarz will be lucky if he ever finds himself in the top 20. he's nothing special at all. he's 6'11 with avg to below avg length and athleticism. he has center size and is fundamentally sound, that's about it.
i'll take poythress over mcadoo too.

imo, as pro prospects trey robinson, rodney purvis, danuel house > ledo > sulaimon
i might take a few other swingmen from this class over them as well (dekker and devonta pollard for example), but they'll take a couple yrs to develop.

Is Alex Poythress a sf or pf? His scout report said one of his strengths is 3 point shooting but a weakness is his mid range jumper can somebody explain that to me? How is a 3 point range a strength but a mid range jumper is a weakness :o

that sounds pretty normal. a lot of kids these days are all about 3's or dunks. "mid-range being a lost art" is such a cliche, but there is some truth to that.
i wouldnt call the 3 ball a strength of his but he can make them.

right now i think he's more of a PF than a SF, but he's certainly more skilled at the same stage than mcadoo. seems a little too stiff and upright in his ball-handling and movement for a SF, but he's working on that.

They're going to use him as MKG, so for me he'd develop into a SF.

Austin is the second coming of Anthony Randolph, and Tarzcewski is Biedrins

to me poythress is more terrence jones than mkg. just smarter and better in terms of skills, but a tad smaller.
poythress cant slash and playmake like mkg.

i dont get those other comparisons either. austin moves nothing like randolph. his mobility is a big questionmark for me, especially moving laterally and changing directions. randolph always moved like a SF.

tarz is nothing like biedrins either. he's just a fundamentally sound, jack of all trades center who has average to below average physical attributes for a C.

Thing is though Poythress atleast from the bits I saw, can really defend the 3.. I think that's more important then his offensive skills as far as his position.

Without Dwight, they were a 5-12 team even with Ryan Anderson. With Dwight and Anderson out of the game, they were the worst team in the NBA other than the Bobcats last year. There's nothing to suggest that any of the players on the roster other than maybe Ayon are good. Afflalo was their big addition and he's a defense only player who had terrible defensive numbers.

4. Washington Wizards - PF/C Cody Zeller
5. Portland Trailblazers - PF Nerlens Noel

12. New Orleans Hornets - PG - CJ McCollum
13. Utah Jazz - SG CJ Wilcox
14. Houston Rockets - PF/C Rudy Gobert

Just having some fun.
If the pistons added shabazz theyd have a real nice core with knight/bazz/monroe/drum,
Maybe Austin goes off this year, people start seeing dirk potential, feel like he'd pair nicely with Gortat
Portland draft nerlens, trade Aldridge, go full on rebuild mode
