Best Options for Dynasty League?

Post#1 » by cochiseuofm » Fri Oct 26, 2012 3:09 pm

Hi all,

I have a dynasty league where we keep all of our players year to year. Keep in mind that our rules are that once the season starts, all rosters are locked and no free agent drops and adds can be made (all breakout players are part of the next year's draft instead.) I'm finishing up my roster right now and am wondering who the best last piece or two would be. Here is who I have so far.

PG - Jrue Holiday / Damian Lillard / Ricky Rubio / Raymond Felton
SG - Andre Igoudala / James Harden / Klay Thompson
SF - Josh Smith
PF - David Lee / Ryan Anderson
C - Dwight Howard / Joakim Noah

I still have one pick left in our draft and am also most likely dropping Felton post draft to add someone else before the season begins. The following players are available that intrigue me: Isaiah Thomas, Jeff Teague, Kawhi Leonard, Chandler Parsons, Jae Crowder, Harrison Barnes.

Right now I'm either going with Thomas and Leonard or Thomas and Crowder. Any thoughts on who might have the best value for a dynasty league? I'm not entirely sure what Leonard's long-term outlook will be.

You've got a whole lot of PG's. However, the other managers know this and won't give you enough at the moment. Wait till Felton plays a few games well and offer him to a team which lacks ast. What teams are weak at the pg spot?

Keep Lillard, Jrue and Ricky. Jrue will have a break out year, Lillard has a roto friendly game and Rubio's value is too low to get fair value.

Iggy, Harden and Klay is a great group at SG. Keep them for now but if you can trade Iggy to fill a gap, do it.

Lee is nice, Ryan Anderson might crash this year since he can't play off Dwight.

Dwight is aplayer I'd avoid in roto. Do you have a Lakers fan in the league? Noah is nice but kind of injury prone.

Since this is Dynasty.. can you try to trade Dwight for Anthony Davis? He'll return better roto value already this season.

Don't draft Thomas. The Kings love Brooks. Get Leonard! He'll get all the trust he can handle in San Antonio.

Avoid Crowder, Parsons and Teague in a dynasty. I'm not sold on Barnes, he might bust and never showed why he'd make a good fantasy player (scores and thats it).

Thanks loot, it is H2H though so Dwight's value isn't terrible. I just have to punt categories when I start him. Ersan Ilyasova is available too so I may end up getting him.
