OT: 2K13, God, thy name is Steve Novak

Post#1 » by Genocide3883 » Sat Oct 27, 2012 11:06 pm

Who needs LeBron/a closer when you've got Novak :)

Story:

I'm playing MyTeam, dude is up like, 20 on me in the 3rd quarter, 3 point spamming w/ Mike Miller/some other guy.

I get Novak open, 3 pointer goes in. Ok, nothing surprising.

I ended up doing it like 8-9 times back to back without missing once.

Needless to same I came back and won, Dude I faced is probably pissed.

yea you're not lying man... novak is money from behind the arc. i bring him in off the bench and it's a wrap. dude knocks down 3s like it's nothing. kidd is also pretty good from 3. i like to start him over felton.

its too easy to hit open 3s in the game

even on a below perfect release, 50% + is possible with someone with 75 3pt rating

novak is ridiculous in this game. last year i had a little trouble shooting with him for whatever reason but his shooting motion seems a little easier to time.

I cant find the release...he be open n its not automatic wit me.

Do u let go the shot stick earlier or later than normal?? or do u try to go with a perfect release?

I use the X button, not the shot stick.

I hold for like 2 seconds

doesn't matter if you have the spot up shooter signature skill

no matter if you quick release or time it perfectly, its going in for sure

if you're having trouble you might not really be open

do you have shot feedback turned on? it helps you time your shots better

speaking of signature skills, do you have to activate them or something?

I have sig skills equipped, i just dont know how to use them, unless they're used automatically.

Early.

He, and Melo, have quick release on most of their catch-and-shoot shots.

Josh smith does it 10x better. I did some crazy shyt with Jr Smith. He ran baseline went up to get the oop, spread his legs and dunk the ball in front of the rim. But Josh Smith by far is the best alley oop dunker.

Melo is unstoppable in 2K. If you give him any room, he will make that shot 9/10 times.

I start Novak vs. the Heat since it's a favorable matchup. Always used to back out of Heat players since they were cheap AF. Still skip OKC players online cause they're too much but now that Harden is out there are no over powered teams anymore at least from a Knicks player's perspective.

anyways my line up is almost always

Shump
JR
Melo
Amare
Chandler

same lineup I used in 2k12 except Shump isn't as beast as he was in 12 but JR is even more mini-Lebron like

Novak's really the only bench player I use so i usually sub out Chandler and put Amare @ 5 and Novak @ 4

record is 65-17 or something 99% w/ Knicks
