Cough, cough.
Saynomore, nudge, nudge.
If you want to try to measure the elements of basketball that are supposedly unmeasurable, spend a game just watching Marc Gasol.

OKC still got draft picks. We have to wait and see if they got the Raps pick.

I don't think it was a bad deal at all for OKC. They got rid of their trash, got a starting SG, a very good SG prospect and picks.

In a vacuum, it's a decent deal - but OKC is competing for a title right now and this deal does not help them do that IMO.

D12 wouldn't commit to Houston, no way Houston gives up all that for a rental Dwight.

I take RAPM seriously in my player evaluations, and I was interested in what Kevin Martin looked like.

He's apparently a net negative impact player...decent offensively (I like his off-ball game), but an atrocious defender...like so bad that it overwhelms his offense and then some. And this is a consistent theme throughout his career.

Harden was a bad defensive player too, but he was a fantastic offensive player and was overall a very high impact player.

Food for thought.

This thread is just further confirmation that Harden is overrated on here. I suggest some of you guys stop jerking off to his advanced stats and watch him play.

So they've already got a commitment from Harden?

When I saw rumors, I thought OKC was just trying to scare him into submission

I guess not though- they really dealt him. Its shocking and I think happened way to fast. You do not blow up a title contender for assets going forward. No matter how good the assets.

Unless they could turn the picks into an upgrade, they are worse than yesterday. With the West already going to be a dogfight with LA, this propels LA to clear favorite now.
