Let the first basketball scout in here throw the first stone at DeAndre Liggins..

Honestly, if Afflalo or Moe play a similar defender role, it won't matter a ton what was missed from Liggins when Afflalo is a 3 shooter who avg.ed 15 ppg and Moe has more potential and athleticism, even if/when Liggins is rated a better defender than Afflalo/Moe, these two would still be high level defenders in the right system, and bring other dimensions that would probably be better overall.

I think it's just the work he put in on defense. I thought he was a very smart defensive player, nothing more. I don't think anyone is saying he'll be anything more than a role player.

Liggin's gets to stay behind Durant - he made the OKC roster - , as Orton and two others were waived to pave a way for DL to stick in the NBA.

It is interesting that Jones effectively replaces the slot that Liggins had. What Orlando did was replace defense for offense. For OKC, having a defender on the bench is a good pick up for that team.
