Harden for Westbrook

Post#1 » by qwerty7 » Sun Oct 28, 2012 9:38 pm

Hi guys I'm in a 10 roto league auction draft
G,G,F,F,C,Uti,Bn,Bn,Bn,Bn,Bn,Bn,Bn
9 catorgories : FG%,FT%,Pts,Ast,Reb,Stl,Blk,TO,3PM

Just finished our draft and my team is:

Harden
Jennings
Gay
A. Davis
M. Gasol
K. Humphries
Wall
Rubio
D. Jordan
D. Collison
S. Marion
A. Harrington
J. Crowder

The deal on the table is harden and collison for Westbrook and mayo. Seems like a still for me but the reasons my hesititat is because:

1) in fantasy basketball the only thing Westbrook has over harden is scoring. Now with harden being traded I expect harden scoring to go up to close what Westbrook normally averages

2) harden Is listed G,F. Gives me more flexibility in terms of line ups ( I could play wall Jennings and harden at the same time)

3) I'm thin on 3PM. The trade won't help this

What do you guys think? What would you do?

1. Harden is an unknown factor at the Rockets - he may fit in brilliantly there and prove to be a round 1 player, or he may not. Westbrook is proven round 1 value.

2. Collison for Mayo is a bit of a wash, but Mayo has more upside on paper if you go back and look at his rookie season. All Collison has to boast about is one month where he filled in for CP3, and he's never come close to repeating it since.

You're getting the best players, take it and run.

No... but do the 1st deal. Easy no since you have Collison in the 1st trade :)

Not sure which side of the deal you're on, but effectively its one very good player (who looks set for a great season) & one poor one (Rudy and Collison respectively) for two average middle of the pack guys. I'd prefer to hang onto Rudy if I had him.
