A step back for sure

Really does seem like a repeat of 05 Johnson in phoenix, probably end up similar but OKC should have just coughed up the 6 mil to keep the core together, waive perkins if you need to avoid tax

you jump on period of contention and throw in everything you have while the window is over because it won't last forever (unless you're the lakers)

This trade is better than losing Perkins. Shooting Guard is a relatively easy position to replace as OKC just proved. Perkins, although is fantasy stats don't show it, is a key part of this team making the finals. Now that Howard is in LA it is even more important that Perkins stays in OKC.

I'm pretty high on Jeremy Lamb as prospect, he looks imo a lot like Kevin Durant when came to the league, obviously undersized and less talented, but the skillset compare well. I'd say he has potential to be a top 5 SG in this league.

Lamb will do fine but definitely he doesn't have the proper skillset to substitute Harden. He is one more off the ball option. Kevin Martin is our main off the ball option from the bench and either Lamb and Perry Jones doesnt need much to be second and third off the ball scorers off the bench. I think we can have better scoring options off the bench than last year. But any bench player of ours bring back enough ball handling ability. I am a bit concerned, but we're good in terms of raw talent.

Maynor, Martin, Lamb, Perry Jones >>> Fisher, Cook, Ivey and Hayward. But I guess Westbrook should be playing heavy times with our second unit wing players to compensate their lack of ball handling ability.
