That still doesn't leave much room for development. Millsap is already a superior player and our wing rotation is pretty well stocked. It isn't horrible value wise, it's just not what we need. We've already got three post players outside of Millsap that are better than Ayon, so there isn't much incentive. Older rookies also don't seem to last long in the league, not that Ayon won't break that trend, but there is still some risk involved.

Why? So Burks can get less playing time, and we can win 2.5 more games in the regular season and maybe .5 more in the postseason before his contract expires?

Kevin Martin is window dressing. We need another piece to add to our core.

Oh I would absolutely trade for that Toronto pick. I love our picks, and I don't think we can stockpile enough (see what Houston did here?). I just don't see the point of martin in the short-term, just like I didn't see the point of making the playoffs last year.
