Guess who's back... back again?

T-Huddy's back... to Shut'Em Down!

Upon hearing that ex-Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Troy Hudson will have an affiliation with the team's developmental league affiliate, my first inclination was to think he'd be doing a pregame, halftime, or postgame concert.

However, Hudson won't be rapping "Shut 'Em Down." He'll be trying to do that to opponents.

A league source said the Wolves will soon re-sign Hudson with the sole intention of facilitating his move to the Sioux Falls Skyforce.

Hudson, 36, is no stranger to the city, having played there in the late 1990s in the Continental Basketball Association.

He hasn't played in the NBA or any high level since Golden State released him in January 2008. The source said he's doing fine financially, but misses the competition.

Over the last four years, Hudson has been involved in launching his music label. He's been seen in the Twin Cities playing in the Howard Pulley Summer League. He also served as a mentor to Rockets rookie forward and Twin Cities native Royce White.

Hudson played parts of five seasons with the Timberwolves, averaging 14.2 points and 5.7 assists per game in 2002-03. He earned more than $30 million during that time.

The original "dribble-dribble-dribble-launch an ill-advised three" point guard. Jonny Flynn's idol himself!

Wolfson confirmed, no roster spot.

And I'm fine with leaving this up. It's a big enough story to warrant its own thread.

I'm fine with it, as long as he stays in the d-league.

he is a veteran sent to help the rookies learn the NBA in D-league. What is wrong with that?
