OJ or Manu

Post#1 » by nyk2423 » Mon Oct 29, 2012 7:51 pm

Who do you think has the better season? Take into account injuries. Also do you think i should offer Manu, mayo, and west for Hayward, Ersan, and Ben Gordon? I already offered him Manu, mayo, and west for Batum and Ersan but with news that Manu isn't playing the season opener i doubt he wants to make that trade

Ginobili is 100x better than Mayo, but he always gets hurt. I've lost faith in Mayo as a reliable fantasy player.

I'd go Manu. Yes, he'll miss games but he's a stud when healthy and OJ has never been anything fantasy wise.

I'd do that trade too. Ersan is easily the best player in that deal. I like Hayward a lot too.

This isn't true

Mayo was good the first 2 years when he started

Ginobilli doesn't play enough minutes nor games to be considered a STUD IMO. But I agree he is one of the most efficient players around when he plays

if you're pickin OJ, the basis is pure speculation and risk-aversion to injuries. If thats the case pick OJ, if not Manu is the right pick.

OJ's game has never translated to the fantasy game really. He's too inefficient to have major value. In his best year he finished 65th and that was due a lot to him playin 38 minutes a game which obviously isn't happening this year. He also shot 46% that year which he hasn't come close to since.

Manu, as fragile as he is, is a per game monster. He finished 47th last year on a per game basis and 18th the year before.

I'm not against taking OJ over Manu this year though. Manu's back is already acting up and Pop will pull his usual last minute healthy scratch crap. But Manu will be better than OJ without question when he plays.

OJ Mayo is extremely durable

I believe has not missed a game due to injury in 4 years(including 2 straight years of 82 games)

Mayo avg 18pts 4rebs 3'assts 1.2stls 46%fg 38% 3pt 81%Ft with 140 3pters made the last time he started

That looks efficient enough for me

Using his stats as a bench player are meaningless now that he is a starter

Ginobill Played 34 games last yr...34

And he is hurt already

Give me 82 games of production over half a season anyday

Mayo is 24. , Manu is 35 and injured with a bad BACK

Buyer Beware

Thank you guys! He rejected the first trade involving Batum but I think I'm going to go ahead and accept the trade of me giving up Manu, OJ, and West for Hayward, Ersan, and Ben Gordon.....
