Loved watching this opener! Was very impressed by how much pressure we kept on the other team offensively, always pushing the pace. Asik is very fast and agile for a big man, and he also is a good rebounder/outlet passer... once the ball gets in Lin or Harden's hands, they are both expert ballhandlers who will sprint it up court, and we seem to be getting some really good shots before the defense can set up.
I was a big fan of the SSOL Suns in the mid-90s and of course the similarities between Lin and Nash have been mentioned before... besides that, Harden is going to be a superstar, and is just a great player for that kind of system.
I really hope this SSOL style of play keeps up for Houston... I think it fits the roster perfectly and is a great basketball decision... also, it will just make the Rockets an incredibly entertaining team to watch!
SSOL Rockets?

Uh... the SSOL Suns were in the mid 2000's not the mid 90's. And just because a team plays fast doesn't necessarily mean they run the same offense as those Suns did. Frankly McHale's system is very different than D'Antoni's system.

obv meant mid 00s... lol... the philosophy is similar... few teams look to push that hard offensively and shoot that early in the shot clock...
