KEY MATCH UP

I think we need to use Favors vs Davis, who got a nice game, being his first in NBA. Paul is too short to defend him, and Davis will have problems vs Favors. It's a way to motivate Derrick and show him how valious is for our team.

Let's trade for Greivis Vasquez.

I'm calling 2-0, this team needs to exercise the demons of road teams past.

Key to game will be the benches. When Anderson/Smith playing 4/5, do they outside shooting destroy Favors/Kanter or does Favors/Kanter post up game destroy them. A very tough matchup for the Jazz. Thank god Eric Gordon is not playing. Jazz rebound themselves to a close win.

I think Jefferson is going to eat Anthony Davis for breakfast... but that's just me. Old vet with the footwork and pump fakes to drive Anthony crazy.

Gonna be a tough game though. Hornets are a decent enough team and road games are always fun with young teams...

I think we have an improve team and it is going to show on the road.

We have vetereans players who are in their prime, and last year Howard had his nights, and Harris only played well in April. Miles, Bell aren't gonna be better than Foye, altough we know he is streaky.

Our big improvement is the 3's. Now is easier to big to pass the ball outside, and play inside with severals threats outside.

Our youngs are a year older and they will know how to play better togheter.
Still, I think we are a more balanced team than last year, and we don't need only one player to step up, because we have several players who can score 20 points in any given night.

F***ing Chris Christie.....

If we get a letdown on the road tonight i will be very upset with this team. We better play the hot hand. So more Burks for sure tonight. Although i expect to be let down minutes wise.

Not asking this mockingly: how do we know Burks is "the hot hand" when he hasn't been on the court yet?

It will be interesting what happens tonight with Burks' minutes. Locke expained there was a minor incident with Burks and Corbin late in the game. Last year when Watson complained he suddely got a lot of minutes again. Maybe Burks gets Tinsely's minutes with Foye at PG. Corbin dislikes confrontation so maybe this works in Burks' favor.

I am shocked the Jazz are 3-4 point favors in Vegas as I expected them to be 4 point dog. This will be a big win if we can get it tonight bc Spurs game on the road is likely a loss.

Unlikely as it is, if the Jazz can win four straight or 5 of their next 6 then Corbin will pass Layden for 2nd highest winning percentage of any Jazz coach.

Basically he will get it as soon as the Jazz get to ~5 games over .500 this season.

That first unit plays some pretty poor defense. If they don't step up their offense Ty will be forced to make a change.

if the jazz want to be better defensively than last year, favors must get starter minutes. and i want to see a showdown between him and davis. it looked like we might get it but coach ty pulled him out.
