Wade becoming a new target for the Haters

Post#1 » by seminoles1993 » Fri Nov 2, 2012 5:54 am

Remember those days When we used to shake our heads at people for hating or criticizing Lebron for the sole reason of becoming a miami Heat? He would get chastised for even a minor error! But after last year, when he had one of, if not THE, best season for an player, haters got scared. They had nothing to use to criticize him.
However, we Heat fans know how much hate there really is.
Think about this. People hate the Heat so much that even Lakers fans team up with celtics fans or vice versa to criticize us. Its funny really.
As I was saying, the haters, hate the heat but dont have a reason. But they need a new reason that could be used to make fun of the heat or to criticize them. Before it was lebron and his "clutch gene"
Now, It's wade and him being "dirty" and a "scumbag".
Go to the general boards. Look at the topic. Read the posts.
99% of the posters brutally and I mean BRUTALLY show their hatred towards wade. And why is that?
Well, You cant make fun of Lebron now. Bosh is too chill or too laid back and too awkward to hate. But wade, HE was the one who supposedly masterminded the whole thing. HE is a 2-time NBA champion, and he does wear his emotions on his sleeves but by no means is he dirty.
It was shocking, actually not shocking at all, how people on the general boards bashed wade calling him "the worst diva in the league" "...worst of the big 3" "hate him the most" "the most dirty player in the league" "would make bowen look like a saint" etc.
Heat fans, this is what happens when haters run out of content. They look for the next thing to hate. And wade is it. Everyone here knows wade didnt pull rondo that everyone believes he did. And wade even apologized afterwards. Everyone knows wade didnt "break"(which I still call BS) Kobe's nose on purpose but it was just a hard foul in a competitive, YES, competitive all star game. People even criticized Ray Allen for joining the Heat. He was a free agent. FREE agent!
Overall, it's just a regular thing being a fan isnt it? lol

Yeah Wade is getting slammed all over the General Board, they do not like him there at all. If they were talking about crying to the refs then fine, he does that but I don't think hes much of a dirty player.

The hate for Lebron has died down a lot but hes STILL going to get it from somewhere hahaha.

Who really cares though, I'm just glad basketball is back.

Can't hate on LeBron now that he got his ring, so they hate on Wade instead.

I can't wait for the Heat to play the smacktalker's favorite team. :-)

Let them talk they're all hypocrites anyways, they all would be kissing his rings if he was on their team. There's only like 3 teams in the league that don't have a guard on Wade's level (Lakers, OKC, Bulls), and even then Wade can play the 2 or 1 so those teams would gladly still take Wade.

To be honest, to do with Lebron I probably would of hated on him if he didn't come to Miami, I didn't like him before he came to Miami because he was so damn good and unstoppable, + we never ever beat Cleveland. Wade has always been my favourite player but Lebron is rivaling him for me now.

I'm a HEAT fan since 2004 btw. Being an Aussie and not liking basketball from an early age I'm relatively late to the game of NBA.

Also, to be fair Wade has had his fair share of dirty plays, yeah he's a two time champ and I love him, but that play on Collison last year in the playoffs was pretty dirty, I don't think the hit on Kobe was, sure he wasn't meant to brake the guys nose.

We've beaten Cleveland enough times with LeBron there.

Agreed. The best thing to do is to stay quiet and humble while this whole thing plays out. The Celtics know they can't beat us on the court, so they'll try and beat us off the court.

We had Cleveland's number for years. During the Shaq era, they couldn't beat us. It swung though in 2008-09.

Please explain how Wade is not a dirty player in reference to these unambiguously dirty plays

The only one of these plays that was a hard foul to stop a layup was in the Allstar game. The dude broke Kobe's nose in the allstar game. Who does that. The rest of the plays were retaliatory cheap shots.

The Rondo one gets me everytime hahahaha, two people falling is a dirty play. So was Ohio States hit on Willis Mcgahee then. So people complain players dont take the ASG seriously and play hard, then when people play hard its "OMG DIRTY PLAY!!!!." People said the same thing about Sean Taylor blowing that guy up in the Pro Bowl.

No I think you should "please explain" why we should care even in the slightest about what the haters think. Only reason so many people are now hating on Wade is flat out because of hate and jealousy. The past 2 seasons LeBron was the most hated player on this site, and now since the haters don't have anything they can say about him anymore they're resorting to making Wade into the villain. Where was all of this hate before the Big 3 formed?

But that's not even my main point. ALL great players/teams are hated in some way and it's easy as hell these days to negatively label superstars and get the label to stick thanks to so many social media outlets like Twitter, Youtube, Facebook, etc. I could easily sit here and find 4/5+ Youtube videos to try to paint your favorite superstar as something negative.

Lets look at some common negative sterotypes as an example:

LeBron: The coward who "fled" from Cleveland and "hand picked" his teammates to win multiple titles with ease.
Wade: The dirtiest player in the league apparently.
Kobe: Glorified chucker who rode Shaq's coattails to greatness.
Rose: Most undeserving MVP in NBA history.
CP3: FLOPPER
Griffin: FLOPPER #2
K Love: Stat padder who isn't truly a #1 option and is incapable of leading a team.
Westbrook: Chucker who is getting in the way of Durant's greatness
Dwight Howard: The bitch who started the nightmare formerly known as "Dwightmare"
Melo: Cancer/black hole who is a proven loser since he can never get past the 1st round.
KG: Fake tough guy who only picks on PGs.
Gasol: SOFT

The list goes on... Haters are everywhere '(hell Jordan would have been hated for a long ass time if he was playing in today's NBA). The bottom line is that us Heat fans know who Wade really is, and we're not going to allow a bunch of jealous fans to dictate who he is with a bunch of Youtube clips. We're the defending champions and have been the most hated team in basketball since the summer of 2010. We shouldn't give a **** about what the haters are saying anymore. Kiss the ring baby.

So again I'll ask why should we care what you think?

I don't get the rondo one at all.

Straight up, Rondo tries to act like KG and pull Wade behind him/down, so Wade brings Rondo with him, then just because it resulted in a freak injury, Celtics fans go looney claiming Wade "dislocated his elbow".

The takedown was initiated by Rondo!!!!

LOL if you ask a Celtic fan, they'll make it sound like wade grabbed rondo's forearm with one hand and bicep with the other and pulled apart to dislocate his elbow with precise and vicious mal-intent.

I think Celtics fans just need to reach for BS rallying cries wherever they can find the,

Lol 2010-2011 it was LeBron getting all the hate then nearing the end of last year to now it's Wade, if the trend continues then Bosh will be the one getting all the hate next year after the Heat repeat.

I doubt it, I remember in 2010 Chris Bosh got a lot of hate with Lebron from fans and just the media in general, making fun of him, calling it the "Big 2", questioning his worth. And now I've seen people go as far as to say Bosh is the second "most important" player to the team so I think he's in the clear for the most part hahaha.
