Finding a NYC Spot to Watch Heat Games

Post#1 » by mopper8 » Fri Nov 2, 2012 9:48 pm

Hey all,

Hoping someone could help a fellow Heat fan out. I moved to New York a little over a year ago, and last season didn't really bother trying to find a good place to watch games. Instead, I watched all the national TV games on ESPN/TNT/etc, and the local games on pirate websites. However, I'm pretty tired of watching games on my computer, so I was thinking it might be nice to find a spot in Manhattan that gets a good crowd for Heat games. Don't really love the idea of watching a game surrounded by Knicks fans.

Anyone know of a good place? So far I've only been able to find Lakers bars or general New York sports bars.

Would love to know as well. Been here four years now (currently live in Astoria) and have yet to find a spot. Then again, I haven't been looking all that hard, as watching with friends who are Knicks or Celtics fans has been pretty satisfying the last couple years. Would've enjoyed having a place to watch The Finals last year with the kinda atmosphere that a place like Finnerty's had for the Giants during the World Series (okay, maybe not THAT crazy.)

All round moppers pad and play the game through the computer on his 55 inch flat screen.
I remember when the Dolphins were perennial contenders

Heat fan in NY....and it's as tough to find fellow Heat fans here as it was in '98!
