Waived Scola? Didn't resign Dragic?

You got me 4 rookies? I wont play any of them. Payback.

To be fair, Mchale is old school. Rookies don't get playing time unless they absolutely have earned it. I am okay with kids paying their dues.

Despite the ending score, yesterday would have been quite a different score if it weren't for Beardsanity. Our new back court practically bailed us out of scoring rut after scoring rut. If we still had Martin, it would've been a close game. Either which way, the rookies wouldn't have played. They play Atlanta, and then Portland, both teams with strong front courts. If Patterson isn't back and Morris/Asik gets into foul trouble, the kids will get some burn.

Patterson bouncing back in Year 3 after an encouraging Year 1 and poor Year 2 would alleviate some of the issues.

Somehow need to incorporate Jones and/or Motiejunas into the rotation.

Livingston a very unlucky cut to Douglas.

Im pretty sure Patterson will be fantastic this year. Greg Smith is a good 3 string big man, Morris is not good enough from what I've read, Royce is more of a hybrid sf who can play some minutes at pf...Patterson on the other hand is smart, knows where to be on the court at the right moment, works his ass off, has huge arms and hands, plays d and has a good shot. I like that guy.

As a very envious Bucks fans let me say congrats Rockets fans. You might have the best pair of starting guards in the league. In my opinion, they are the best. It's very rare (almost unheard of) to have two starting guards with that kind of vision. I have to go back to Frazier-Monroe for two guards with scoring and passing ability like that. And I wasn't sorry to see Delfino go, but he looks like he'll do great in your system. However, you can't play Harden 44 minutes every night. And Morris is probably the weakest link on your team. I understand Patterson (a player I like) is injured, but it made no sense not to give some of the pf rooks time. DMO has the most scoring potential. And while I haven't seen much of Jones, he looks strong too. White looks like a player who can play both positions. Your following games will be interesting to see in McHale starts playing the high-potential rooks. If they come through along with Patterson, I see the Rockets in the playoffs.

I don't understand why Motiejunas didn't play last game. If he have playing time he can be a very good player, for this year Motiejunas can be better than Valanciunas, but trainer didn't let him play why?

it takes time to earn the coach trust
as of right now Motiejunas is probably #6 on McHale list for PF

dont listen to max he's the most pessimistic poster on this board. he just pulled that list out of his ass

its the first game. teams try out different rotations in the first month. all our rookies are gonna get burn soon. the only reason morris played is cause he's the 2nd pf with the most nba experience. its a seniority thing he's doing. but eventually he's gonna play everyone. maybe he didnt wanna lose the first game cuz of harden's debut, dont wanna tkae chances on that, so went with the first respectful rotation

i wish Motiejunas fans would be more patient
if he's good he'll get his chance to show it
we all know Ricky Rubio has lot of potential
he was backing up Luke Ridnour for a month before getting a chance to start

i expect at least 30 DNP-CD for him
in summer league and preseason Motiejunas wasn't consistent enough
sometime he didn't even know what to do on the court
that wont be good
he will get his chance if he show improvement in practice

Jones may well be our next Scola.

I'm reluctant to solidly state that before he gets more playing time to show it for sure, but he looked really, really good in preseason minutes.
Morey 2020.

Q:How are they experts when they're always wrong?
A:Ask a stock market analyst or your financial advisor

Everything Morey said he would be, and more. It's not everyday where you see an 8 million dollar bargain.

Quick question regarding depth at the guard spot. Do the Rockets plan on getting another PG? Watching Toney Douglas play is painful. I realize that Lin needs to get his rest, but as soon as Douglas gets in the game, the opposing team goes on a run.

It's a mystery to me as well being someone who's interested in Euro players and who has watched the progress of both players last year. Motiejunas had an excellent summer league and played well in some preseason games. If he plays, he'll score. Plus he's probably the only effective inside scoring player on the team in my view. Why Mchale isn't giving him a chance is inexplicable.

Machado's already on the roster. Might as well kick the tires, take him for a spin. Can't be any worse than Douglas, can he?
