DNP, really?
Why didn't PJIII or Lamb get any play tonight? I was excited to see how they will do, and then... nothing? Was there a reason why, or just another 'dammit, Brooks!' moment?
I move around so much, I've just decided to start rooting for everybody.
Except the Heat.

Re: DNP, really?
I can understand why Lamb didn't play. Not only is a rookie, but he's only been with his new team a few days. He's probably even more unfamiliar with the offense than Jones. I am confused as to why PJ3 didn't get any burn, though. He looked pretty solid in the preseason and I thought wouldve gotten some minutes tonight.

And both played the second game, can you complain about Brooks playset? maybe he'll come up with a decent one from the next game onwards.

Re: DNP, really?
Was definitely surprised to see Thabeet and Jackson playing and Jones not. Like NaturalThunder said... Lamb's first game DNP is pretty understandable. I thought PJ3 looked fine in a few minutes last night. Would guess at least one of them will crack the normal rotation, and I have a tough time seeing how it would be Lamb because Martin is going to be pretty cemented at backup-2 and I'd guess the point will always go to Maynor or Jackson. Maybe if we go really small with Martin at the 3 for some stretches of games...

Not surprised by any of this. Brooks doesn't hand out minutes to rookies. Jones was the 28th pick, he'll have work to do if he's going to break into the regular rotation.
Thabeet is playing because Brooks knows that Collison can't play C all the time at this point in his career. This will save Collison wear and tear over the season. Collison looks fresh and had a great game against Portland. Thabeet fouled out in 18 minutes but otherwise didn't look disastrous.
Perkins / Thabeet
Ibaka / Collison
Durant
Sefolosha / Martin
Westbrook / Maynor
I think Jackson and Jones will be the 10th man in that rotation depending on matchups, and Brooks has said as much. Again, don't mind this at all, and I enjoy Brooks being so flexible if that is the case
Lamb probably doesn't get rotation minutes unless there are a couple backcourt injuries.

Re: DNP, really?
I could see PJ breaking the rotation after a few months if he keeps working hard and showing up at practices. Lamb isn't going to get anything this season unless Brooks decides to send him out on a short, short leash for some stretches when the team is winning by 30+.
