Just pointing out Harrison Barnes made two clutch shots for the Warriors win against the strong Clippers.

SI! It's Paco. Where have you been, dude? Hope everything is good.

Anyways, I'm a big MKG fan. Was able to see him live last year when KY came and beat us...bleh. Anyways, I think he'll be a very good player -- mix between Wallace and Iggy. However, I don't see Iggy's playmaking in MKG's game.

Iguodala has the ability to be a legit point forward due to his handle and great court vision. I know he's still only a rookie, but I don't think you can really develop court vision. He's a smart player with good awareness, but I don't think he'll be able to run an offense like Iggy can.

Just my 2 cents.

I also want to give some props to the oldest rookie in NBA history -- Pablo Prigioni lol. Pesky as hell defender with a good feel for passing the ball.

I watched Lillard play a bit so far and he's looked real good. I expected the scoring, but his playmaking ability has been nice as well. He had a pick and pop with LMA in one of the games -- pick came, Lillard drew the entire defense in, and had a back bounce pass to Aldridge for the shot (which he missed). That play really stuck out to me.

He had 13 pts which included two dribble drives and dunks that looked all-star. He also had five steals, and unlike a lot of the Bobcats, didn't try to shoot the ball every time he got his hands on it.

Easily the most impressive thing about Gilly the Kidd is that he is team first, second and third, for a 19 year old his poise and composure is amazing.

He played limited minutes in pre-season and is only playing 23mpg through two games and hasn't complained or said anything despite his play warranting extended minutes already.

He plays completely within the offense and defensively is like a general barking out orders and controlling the tempo of the game.

Don't expect superb stats, but DeQuan Jones is making his first NBA start for the Magic tonight. Guy was an outsider in training camp, made the team, and is getting full community support as he starts Orlando's second game of the year. Great guy, hard worker, and deserves to be in the dunk contest in February.

He reminds me of Gee a little bit -- similar builds, playing styles, and strengths/weaknesses.

Paco! How you going friend? I honestly wondered if you were Knickstape, the Vandy logo is not a common sight on this site abd the infamous Paco disappeared like Hoffa, MKG has really impressed me with his passing and court vision and although he may not ever get to Iggy's level he is definitely in another universe compared to Gerald Wallace.

Gilchrist is going to be special imo, I just love his team play and leadership.

Do you have some thoughts on Jeffery Taylor? He didn't look great in pre-season and is going to get limited burn to start the season but we as Bobcat fans are intrigued by his length, defense and shooting ability.

John Jenkins will be a stud imo and Atlanta did really well there so late in the first round.

Prigioni is perfect for what the Knicks are trying to do and despite being 35 could stick around for a few seasons yet.

I'm good. School has been great so far. Easily my favorite year (socially and academically). Trying to come back for one more year, actually. *crosses fingers*

BIG Taylor fan. Freak athlete, great quickness, nice jumper, and phenomenal defender (he's also a legit nice guy). Biggest issues are his confidence/aggressiveness, he doesn't attack the paint as much as he should, and IIRC his wingspan wasn't all that great. He may not do much this year, but I think he'll be a real nice role player. Between MKG, Hendo, and Taylor, the Cats have a nice trio of defenders at the 2/3 position.

I'm waiting for JJ to get minutes. Gonna be hard to get minutes in ATL with the logjam of shooters they have...kinda sucks. But yeah, I liked the pick.

LOVE LOVE LOVE the way Fes has been playing. Another great guy. Really happy for him.

I'm curious to see what Woodson does with the rotations once Shump (/Amar'e?) returns. Does Kidd go back to the bench? Prigs minutes cut? Should be interesting to watch.

Good to hear Paco, as a foreigner I don't know a whole lot of the college system aside from college hoops but Vany has a great reputation as an academic school has it not? It would be great to attend there.

We as Bobcats fans are hoping that Taylor can be Thabo with a three ball, he has the potential to be a great roleplayer from the 2-3.

Festus has been a great surprise and is exactly what the Warriors need right now with Bogut heavily restricted.

Jenkins will be a hit in Atlanta sooner rather than later, Morrow is an expiring and Korver is nearly done.

Shump has to get minutes when he's back and I think it will be a combination of Kidd and Prigs minutes being cut, Shump has to start imo.

Val has been pretty bad out of the gates, but then again Hibbet, Lopez, and Pekovic 3 games in a row is not an easy task at all for a rookie.

What hasn't he been doing?

bad decisions on offense, poor timing on defense (as well as getting throughly owned by pekovic tonight, too weak)

but he's giving full effort and hustle and i'm not sure he's been a big net negative so far on the floor

He's been inefficient, outmuscled, out scored, and hasn't really been up to par with his play in preseason. Which is all understandable because again, Hibbert, Lopez, and Pekovic in your first 3 NBA games is going to be tough. The stuff that he's been lacking in that he normally excels in, help defense particularly, has been subpar mostly I think because he's up against those 3 guys.

Festus is a freakin beast for the Warriors. The guy is a mammoth. By the end of the season he will easily be one of the top players from the draft. His defense is outstanding and im very impressed with his athleticism. The guys a rookie and a huge part of our team already.

I wouldn't say inefficient. A lot of his missed FGs are missed tip-in opportunities. In the minutes that coach Casey allowed him I'd say he's been fairly efficient.

He was outmuscled and got schooled by all of those Cs for a couple of moves. Refs are also treating him like a rookie. Brooks got so many BS calls in general. His 1-on-1 defense isn't that good yet and Raps should double more on those clearouts.

I'd say that a greater proportion of his 30 or so attempts were more jumpers than tip ins. And yeah I agree with the other reasons, but I didn't want to make it sound like I was giving him too many excuses lol. Getting the rookie treatment has been doing him no favors at all, getting in early foul trouble and making him question how he should play defense.
