Sandusky should blog about the NFL from prison

Post#1 » by sp6r=underrated » Wed Oct 24, 2012 3:22 am

I know he was convicted of acts that some people find objectionable but the man is an absolutely brilliant defensive mind. He was the brains behind Linebacker U which modernized college football. I think his commentary would be far more insightful than the average drivel you read about the National Football League.

Frankly if he was acquitted I think a team should have hired him as defensive coordinator. They probably could have gotten him for cheap due to off the field issues and he probably would have sold tickets.

no program would hire him even if he was acquitted, not until considerable time has passed to change public perception. and considering he is already pushing 70, i doubt he would get hired even after some time.

Wow...talk about a random post.

I think there are enough people..who you know, aren't in prison for molesting boys, who could offer insight better than the "average drivel you read about the National Football League."

Aside from the sheer insanity of granting Jerry Sandusky anything but a slow and painful death and eternal damnation, asking him about modern NFL football is like asking David Berkowitz about the current state of the post office. He hasn't coached in 13 years and coached in college, not the NFL. The colossal disappoinment that was Lavar Arrington was the last NFL player he coached, and before that Shane Conlan was the last real great linebacker at PSU, that was in the mid 1980s. Why would anyone care what that dinosaur thinks about the NFL even if he wasn't a convicted child rapist?

I guess some would be correct only because it is included in most.

Sandusky might want to first start a blog to explain how he's so innocent since he didn't do that during the trial. Not sure why it would make sense for him to spend time blogging about football while he feels he's a victim of a massive conspiracy, from his own words it sounds like he has a lot of more important work to do. Even if he had good football ideas, I can't imagine any NFL team would have any interest in even reading what this guy has to say at this point.

If any NFL team wants to learn what they are doing wrong, then I submit to them that I'm a much better person to ask anyway with superior ideas and solutions that Sandusky would never be able to come up with, plus for a bonus I've never been on trial for any crime. I'm an expert at football and not going out of my way to victimize others. Amazing combo of value.

You're absolutely right about there being plenty of people that can offer insight. As a marketing guy, though, I think Sandusky would draw in a ton of web traffic because of his notoriety. It's the same disease that causes society to keep up with Hilton and Kardashian for all those years.
