sTrange Blake trend

Post#1 » by Speedlot » Tue Nov 6, 2012 2:13 am

Blake has been playing great.. but HE always does this every year. Remember the Killer B's? I always get excited about blake because he starts the season great but then why does he just nose dive afterwards? Frustrating.

Same with Kobe. His efficient play is gonna fall off hard in a couple of months :(.

If he stays within the system the team has been playing so far this year his efficiency might not necessarily fall off. So far this year he's doing a great job of taking what he's given rather than forcing up difficult shots. It'll be interesting to see if he can keep it up throughout the whole season.

And yes of course his shooting percentage won't stay as high as it currently is. After four games his shooting percentage is stratospheric...

Well if I recall recently, Kobe started in the 52 range the season where he was posting up like crazy. Very efficient but it took such a heavy toll on his body that he had to dial it down, and started to chuck like crazy. From what I've seen so far from kobe this year, it's very similar. Hopefully he won't fall off too hard. If he manages 47+ I would be the happiest person in the world. If he gets 50% that's an almost guarantee MvP.

Oh man I wrote up a whole researched post on how it was Kobe's MJ step, where he becomes efficient from the post and how we'd see Kobe's best career FG%... then he started jacking everything up and it went back down.

Forget about Kobe being MVP anymore. This is Dwights team already. He's still 75% but making it happen easily.

My largest complaint with Blake has always been his ability to consistantly knock down shots. I saw it here in MKE and have been frustrated by it seeing him in LA. His role is key, as Nash's health will be a main concern moving through the rest of the season.

As far as Kobe goes, that has been a constant point of discussion given his age and health these past few years. Kobe and Kobe only will make the decision on how he feels he is best utilized for this team. I would love to see Dwight take the chief position and have senior Kobe play more of a supporting role. That is the only way I see this whole deal working.

We all know it is in Kobe's DNA to be the man and take control, but my hope is that maturity and a global understanding of this particular team, will allow him to accept that role.
Ball so hard.
