Usage Percentage: percentage of possessions used by a player while he's on the floor.
So far this season (only three games):
1 Mo Williams -- 25.3
2 Randy Foye -- 22.5
3 Al Jefferson -- 21.2
4 Paul Millsap -- 21.0
5 Gordon Hayward -- 19.6
6 Jeremy Evans -- 19.2
7 Marvin Williams -- 18.5
8 Enes Kanter -- 17.3
9 DeMarre Carroll -- 16.1
10 Derrick Favors -- 14.7
11 Jamaal Tinsley -- 12.9
(Murphy and Burks left out since they've only played one game each.)
Would you change anything?

Re: Usage Percentage
^ Yeah, Hayward needs to get bumped up. Favors should be a few spots higher, Foye a few spots lower and our bigs higher on average. The minutes for our big men have been sporadic and random - one night Jefferson plays the the whole 4th quarter and the next it's all Favors.
Someone needs to be traded because Corbin isn't going to figure it out. He's messing around because he's as lost as all of us. I'm still for trading Jefferson - Millsap is just too clutch.

I wonder if he forcing this Favors/Kanter lineup because he wants them to mesh as the future bigs of the Jazz. Pretty sufferable now, but might pay big dividends down the road.

Re: Usage Percentage
I've noticed Hayward getting frozen out on a few possessions. I'm not sure Mo Williams is a fan. One time in particular Hayward was open for an easy dunk and Mo decided to try to pass between the feet of two defenders to get the ball to someone else instead. Pass was picked off.
Also often see Hayward break free for a back door pass only to be ignored.
Maybe it's not intentional, but, they sure don't seem to look for Hayward.
The announcers on the other hand are all over Hayward's jock. He's obviously the golden child when it comes to the announcers.

"Thibs called back and wanted more picks," said Jorge Sedano. "And Pat Riley, literally, I was told, called him a mother-bleeper and hung up the phone."

Re: Usage Percentage
I disagree as I have seen several times Mo Williams pass ahead to Hayward. I like them togther in the back court. The problem the Jazz have is Favors needs to be the man and play the most minutes.
Play with the Pass, Play with a Purpose, and Play with Pace along with Obvious Unselfishness....Coach Snyder says the sky is purple than Jazz players say nice purple sky! LONG LIVE THE MAD SCIENTIST!!!!

Re: Usage Percentage
I'm not a fan of combo guards taking as many shots as we have, but it doesn't look as bad as I thought it would.
But Favors being so low means they still aren't calling plays for him. Foye being so high means he's leading the second unit.

Re: Usage Percentage
Really sad that Favors is just above Tinsley.... never gonna develop an offensive game at that rate.

Re: Usage Percentage
Corbin decided our usage rate would best be distributed as inversely correlated with how much the player is in our long-term plans. Veteran free agents? Chuck away. Young rookies trying to learn, better luck next year.
