He looked horrible out there, made two dumb inbounds passes in a row and was for the most part invisible.

Against the first non legit center Jonas put up 18 points/6 boards. Was hella efficient too, 6-8 from the field and 6-6 from the line.

Nothing wrong with a reach if it's the guy you feel is going to be the best player. Sure if Waiters was viewed as a late first rounder you can trade down but you can't take that risk if you're unsure someone else may swoop on him. Triston Thompson was a bad reach but I think Waiters may have been a good pick.

Its funny how people give Waiters leeway but refuse to give it to Thompson
Hes a young player who has shown he can play in this league. Bust labels are coming WAY too early for him. As of right now I only really see two guys behind him who have definitely proven they are better than him (Faried and Leonard)

A reach does not mean a bad pick. All it does is up the stakes.

A reach could be very bad if the projected player ends up significantly better than the reached player. A reach could turn out brilliant if the reached player ends up better than the projected player.

Bust labels come too fast for everyone TBH. Hell I remember having to defend Kevin Durant against people calling him a chucker and labeling him a bust.

I give most players 2 years, if by the 3rd they don't show at least some improvement (assuming they at least get to play) I will start thinking they wont improve. I'm not saying they need to be an all-star in year 3, but at least make noticeable improvements.

Cavs won the coin toss against the hornets, who got the number 1 pick. :(

he seems a reach becauase his stock was projected to be about 5-10 spots lower. Also because Harrison Barnes mus've been the most obvious choice. I would've bet my car on it at the time for Cleveland to pick Barnes at #4.

FYI:

Both Davis and Rivers are OUT for the Hornets/76ers game on ESPN tonight. Davis has not been cleared to play from the concussion (supposedly, he is fine) by the league, and Rivers has a severely sprained index finger (couldn't make his shooting worse...could it.)

So...not the best game for ESPN at this point.

Quite the buzz kill for a team that was a Tony Parker 3 pointer away from being 3-0 right now against 3 playoff teams. I can't believe AD isn't playing tonight, the NFL would have even allowed him to play.

that team beat the bulls without AD. they're like the magic in that they compete really hard. they're probably better off without rivers anyways. it might not be a good game if you just tune in to see certain players, but it could be competitive.

I think the game will be competitive for sure. Darius Miller will start at the 2, and Ryan Anderson steps right in at the 4. This team doesn't know any other way to play than to compete. But no team can withstand an extended period of time losing the likes of Gordon, Davis and Rivers. There's just going to be a natural dropoff.

I would like to think both Davis and Rivers will play friday, but with this team, who knows.

The dunk I remembered was the one that Durant put on Val. Went through him like he wasn't even there.

How the hell did Rivers make the top 10 rookie ladder list on NBA.com?

I mean, seriously. I'd put a rookie who had 4 DNP in there instead of him.
