As you can see it's absolutely fair to say that Melo plays Lebron pretty close to a draw. The only category Lebron clearly wins is in assists and that's mainly due to his role.

Eh?

The numbers as presented are:

Melo: 23.4 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 2.4 apg, 0.9 spg, 0.8 bpg, 2.9 tpg, 51.9% TS
LBJ: 25.0 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 7.2 apg, 1.8 spg, 0.9 bpg, 4.1 tpg, 53.4% TS

And that includes some of their earlier years, where neither of them were as good as they have been in more recent times. It's pretty clear that Melo scored a lot less effectively, scored less overall, didn't rebound as well and was nothing like Lebron in terms of his ability to effectively create for others. James was then and remains today the CLEARLY superior player.

Did you look at those numbers? And it's not just "mainly due to his role" that Lebron clearly wins in assists. There's a clear reason that he's been put into that role, and it's a difference of talent that Melo has never shown himself capable of approaching.

In what universe is scoring 1.5 points less on 1.5% worse TS a lot less effectively?LMAO

anyways guys...not here to troll so I'm gonna leave you alone..it's also way too early in the season to start overanalyzing stuff.

Efficiency difference isn't huge but 5 more apg, better rebounding, better defense. Its not close imo.
