man.. he's playing absolutely awful. it's sad. it's over for him.

he should have stayed retired.

The topic is misleading. You make it sound like he made a decision to retire.

Anyway, I've been posting his numbers on the "Anything Goes" thread lately. But since you started this one, here goes:

3 points on 1-6 shooting, 5 rebounds and 9 assists in 26 minutes of action.

Still better than anyone on our bench. Sad but I kinda expected this sort of thing, hope he's not risking being able to walk later in life for this. Seems like he might be the odd man out when Rubio comes back.

Roy didn't play all that badly tonight. He can't score anymore but he's smart enough to help others.

I think Brandon is trending towards being a useful player. He will figure out how to make open shots and he will continue to be good distributing the ball.

It is sad to see him as a shadow of his former self, and he is an awful defender now, but I think the Wolves will be happy to have him available.

The whole time he was trying to make it back as a Blazer people complained about him trying to take over when he couldn't and not focusing on his ability as a facilitator. He's doing that now. I'm sure his shot will at least somewhat come back and I'm sure once Love returns he'll get more easy looks.

Stupid thread aside, Roy has sucked so far. It's still early in the season, but so far, he's looked a lot like Allen Houston and Penny Hardaway did when they attempted comebacks from retirement.

True, but to be fair, the Blazers bench set that bar so low that it's not any accomplishment to be proud of.

Four games after a long time away from the game. No one expected him to return to his glory days and yet, I would take this Roy (who is bound to improve a bit after he shakes off the rust) over Wes Johnson, who is proving in Phoenix to have no value. He is not scoring, his defense has been suspect at times, but he is facilitating, providing leadership, and most importantly, helping keep the Wolves competitive while Love and Rubio are out.

All of you said "Don't expect him to be the Roy of old."
All of the Wolves fans replied "Yep, we know."

and yet some of you continue to lambaste him for not being the same player. That's just silly.

What do you want us to say? I guess we shouldn't comment on him at all.

He honestly looks like me on defense. I don't see how that can improve. In fact it can only get worse in my opinion.

I actually like what he brings to the table offensively and we could actually use him here but what bench player couldn't we use.

When Rubio comes back how do you think that will affect the use of Roy? I am not a Minnesota fan but from the outside it would seem Rubio would take away from the skill set Roy brings.

if his knees will even slightly hold up for the entire season, i can see him as a pretty solid facilitator and gettin about 12ppg, but knowing brandon his knees will start to swell up as soon as everyone else is starting to hit their stride.

i predict he will play about 60 games this season, give or take about 5 and ave 12/5

But don't tell re49gb*&*(^&# (what kind of name is that anyway) that. Ever seen his game analysis about some players, especially ones he doesn't like? He describes it where you wonder what game he saw. It doesn't surprise me that he's ragging on guys in here on something that exist.

Well, considering that so far Roy has taken the role of a facilitator, you would think that he would be the odd man out with Rubio coming back. But last year Adelman played Rubio and Ridnour almost exclusively during a stretch last season with success, that is how little faith Adelman had with Wes playing the 2.

Production wise Roy is a little below what I expected, but not by much. But the Wolves are 3-1 without its two stars, so I can't really complain too much. If Roy starts costing the Wolves games, then I'm sure my frustration will show.

What kind of bizarro world are we in in which a Love and Rubio-less Wolves are 3-1 and the Lakers with Dwight Howard are 1-4. I'll take it!
