Solid win for us, nothing to get too excited about, as Brooklyn is just not playing well yet and was missing a key piece with Wallace being injured. I'm gonna withhold my judgement on our offense when we get to the tough games and teams. The LeBron coasting comments are kinda funny. You don't grab that many rebounds while coasting. No matter how good you are, rebounding is a matter of effort and he's definitely putting an effort into grabbing those. He's obviously looking to avoid injuries, which is the smart thing to do when your team is clicking so well, but he's not coasting. That's almost an insult to the many little things he's doing each and every night.

Ray Allen - 59% on 4.4 3PA per game
Lebron James - 57% on 2.8 3PA per game
James Jones- 50% on 2.0 3PA per game
Mike Miller - 50% on 0.8 3PA per game
Rashard Lewis - 47% on 3.4 3PA per game
Norris Cole - 40% on 1.3 3PA per game
Mario Chalmers - 36% on 2.2 3PA per game
Not sure how long they'll all fall but the options are pretty endless from the 3 for now.

Definitely not an insult, its more of a compliment really. Maybe "coasting" is not the right term, but he just makes it look so effortless like he's not even trying. Here's an excerpt from the Daily Dime that captures the sentiment:
Ho-Hum Excellence
MVP: LeBron James. Other than a few first-half moments, it was a low-key performance. Then you look up at the box score and see 20 points, 12 rebounds and eight assists. Does anyone do low-key and dominant better than LeBron?

Maybe low-key to those who take this 35/8/8 performances as the standard, but definitely not low-key to those who pay close attention to detail. He's still as brilliant as ever, the load is just spread out over many players. Of course does it look easy, our entire offense looks like it comes easy to us, and when a guy like LeBron doesn't have to score 30+ points, it obviously looks like he's not giving as much of an effort. I'd say he's probably playing even better basketball than last season just because he's so within the flow of the offense.

He is. His own fault for setting the bar too high. What a' no good slacker! That's why he will never win a cha---
Tough road games ahead, will be a better test to gauge the teams offensive and defensive level than the two prior games.

Lewis off the bench is just killing it, I was really pulling for him to have a good year. I know its early, but if this is any sign of whats to come, especially as they start to put Miller more and more into the rotation, the bench is going to be deep and STACKED.
We really aren't that stacked when it comes to big men.. Agreed, it's a thing of beauty watching us play and when firing in all cylinders, w are nearly unstoppable.. but a young athletic talented big would make everything so much more easier and help extend our championship window for a really long long time..

I don't think anyone meant it as an insult.. Him coasting or in fact putting in just the right amount of effort is just smart play this early in the season.. We don't need him to go all out.. It's more of a testament to how good he is..

These last two games he's really taken it upon himself to be the team's floor general.Sc0pe92 wrote:Love how chalmers is passing the ball now. That bounce pass he threw to lebron between 2 defenders was impressive

Yep. Lebron at half speed has been the best player on the floor. I’d say that’s a pretty big compliment. This team just has it going right now. It’s been what 2 or 3 games where neither Lebron nor Bosh have played in the 4th quarter at all.

Love how fast Rashard has come around. I thought he'd be a good contributor this year, but not this quickly.

Watched the game, and the way you guys played was pretty scary-good (unfortunately...lol)
Don't rate the Nets offence...at least, not yet...but the ease with which Miami played is something that can be sustained for the whole season, and leave you fresh for the playoffs.
I was really interested to see how a bigger team went against the Heat, since I don't think anyone can get close to you playing small (OKC probably the best bet there, but they're a step behind you), but you didn't skip a beat.

I was at the game, so didn't think anyone noticed. When Rio made that pass, I swear it had no chance of connecting. I thought for sure the defender was gonna get it. It was a good combination of timing from Rio and effort to beat the defender by Lebron. Nice play that had me out of my seat. Rio has come a long way, with playmaking, since his rookie season. PEACE.

You both didn't get my point. Coasting means simply not giving a f*** and taking it easy at the expense of your team. LeBron certainly doesn't do that. He definitely makes a 20/10/8-line look effortless, but his focus, precision and thus his decision-making are as good as they've ever been. If there's one aspect of LeBron's game that's always pissed me off then it's him being a ballstopper. This year, he's just a fluent part of the offense and showcasing his brilliance within this scheme, which he never did to the degree he's doing it at this year. Thus, I don't like the term coasting when speaking about his play.
