Post#1 » by Jake0890 » Wed Nov 7, 2012 8:25 pm

I guess everyone saw it coming, but it's finally been announced. Knox is out the rest of the season.

I hope that he can resume his career next season, but part of me believes that his career is over.

I just can't fathom him going across the middle for a reception without always thinking about his broken back. I just don't see him getting over the mental aspect of his injury, regardless of him getting past the physical part.

I really liked him as a receiver. If Cutler had him, Marshall, Bennett, and Jeffrey to throw to, we'd be a lot better off.

That sucks. He probably wasnt in football shape anyways. Will probably be a Peyton Manning like year for him.

I think he should call it quits. I mean I know he can still be serviceable, and I don't want to drag the dude when he's already down, but he could be a nightmare when he wasn't making big plays here and there. Terrible drops, bad route running, not physical enough.

If he does resume his career, best of luck to him. If it's with the Bears, I'd be fine with him being a 4th option, as long as he works on his game.

Man, what was it that happened exactly? More than 10 months on an injury? Must have been something fierce...

His body was completely folded the wrong way. It's like doing a sit-up, while laying on your stomach instead of your back.

Would he have motivation to play for money? I don't know what his contract situation is; I'm always thoroughly confused by that stuff.

That's probably the most horrifying injury I've ever seen

But I believe Knox did an interview earlier this season and he seemed pretty optimistic about coming back. So, you never know.

I remember watching Wendell Davis and his injury. He blew both knees out and it looked like a routine catch but you could tell his knees were gone. Just terrifying....

Well what else do you expect him to say? He needs to make money so he will try as long as it won't kill him. I would hope the Bears take care of him if he can't play anymore and his career is over.
