If you've gone to his games you see his real end-to-end speed. You can tell how physically dominating Wall can be if all you're doing is watching live. You see the potential and the moments of brilliance.

I had NBA League Pass last season and only see what camera angles reveal. I'm a bit of a stats guy, too. What I focus on primarily are statistics that I think show areas of strength or weakness. I also judge Wall by his perceived worth, or what his market value might be in a trade as well as how much it might be to resign him. Now, I'm looking at how this knee injury works.

I'm as biased as the next person. If I'm looking for things wrong with Wall's game I'm sure to find them. If I want to see great things, they're there, too, blazinskillz.

I don't just depend on what others say. Nor do I allow my emotional response to want to root for him keep me from trying to be objective about how the guy actually plays. But again, I have my biases, too.

Fair assessment. Like I said previously, I don't post often, but I've been coming to this board for 7 yrs(I think I've got an older acct)

he is seeing a doctor today to have it re-evaluated.

word is his target return date is nov 30th vs the knicks. but depending on what the doctor says today could delay that. we shall see.

He isn’t expected to return until close to December, and while those close to him have hoped that he could return by Nov. 30 in New York, Wall said he doesn’t have a scheduled return in his mind.
“No target at all,” Wall said, shaking his head. “No. I wish I did.”

February 1st, if he plays this season.

First time he plays 2 straight weeks and has a good game trade him.

The Wizards need to get a Harden-like deal (of course they won't get nearly as much) for Wall. The knee for a speedy guy is just a sign. I felt after Gilbert's second knee procedure it was time to cut bait. No way by the time they re-signed him wasn't it clear there were degenerative issues.

Wall had a jacked up shot and was already tremendously overrated (He can become an all star perhaps, but he's far, far from a superstar). I have not wavered in saying he's not the most competitive PG. Wall is a speed player who might have the very same injury Danny Granger has. If I were an actuary determining some sort of policy, that would be a preexisting condition, plus some mitigating factors.

I was just waiting to see if his return became delayed and it has. The Wizards need to bail IMO.

CCJ, the only way Wall is being traded is if he comes out and asks for a trade. Which, at this point, wouldn't surprise me in then slightest.

CCJ isn't talking about whether Wall WILL be traded, but whether he SHOULD be traded. And, if I was in Ernie's position, I'd at least be talking to teams interested in Wall.

Steve Nash would definitely bring a lot of experience and knowledge. He's a veteran that knows how to play the game the right way. Maybe throw in Singleton to make the salaries match. And if it costs a measly 2nd to get it done, then by all means, do it. And if Nash suddenly retires...was someone complaining about cap space?

It's not the thought of trading Wall that I find disturbing.

Why ?

That idea maybe made sense the off season after his first year.

But now ? After he has started to mature. After he has learned to change his pace. After he put in good structured hard work in the off season. After the roster has been improved to add the things they were lacking that made things harder for him. Now, when it looks like what Wall offers is the missing piece to this solid defensive team that has added several spot up long ball shooters and who has at least two very solid post scorers.

CJJ and Indy. Really. Now ?

Sorry. That makes no sense to me. None.

John Wall injury update: Wizards' star targeting late-November return Nov 8, 4:34p
http://www.bulletsforever.com/2012/11/8 ... on-wizards

Washington Wizards' point guard John Wall received positive news after visiting a doctor, and is targeting a late-November return.

That would be on schedule.

Wall visited an area doctor earlier today and received a MRI. Wittman stated the doctors gave a "postive report" on Wall, and that the MRI is "showing healing" in his left knee.

Orthopedic specialist David Altchek discovered the injury five weeks ago, and projected Wall to miss at least eight weeks

That means that did catch it early and took the correct course of action and are getting the expect good results from it.

While people keep insisting that nothing has changed with the organization from when Abe owned it, things like this are evidence that things have changed. Let go of your bias from years past. Set your mind free. Move Forward.
