Not a huge fan of the whole "good luck charm" thing. I've seen it in other gamethreads and I dunno, it just seems... unnecessary.

I mean come on, it's the internet, if I wanted to look at beautiful ladies I could do it myself. I come here for basketball though.

Just my two cents, it doesn't really matter I suppose.

If that is indeed the starting five for Indiana without Danny Granger, I expect to see Derrick defending David West, Brandon guarding Sam Young, and Andrei guarding Paul George.

Agreed.

First couple games the pacers had Gerald green starting but the last few it's been Sam young. The others have been the same so I'm assuming this is it lol. I expect this to be a win though, even in their two victories the pacers have stuggled, beat raps in last minute, need double OT to beat then kings

Even if Green was the starter, I'd expect the matchups to remain the same.

And the dance team girls are unnecessary too?

I like it but yeah, I understand the girls of the forum. This can sounds a little anti-feminist, but if the other option is a bikini girl and a muscle man with a tanga, I renounce to "good luck charm" girl.

The cyclism or motorbike ceremonies have pretty girls who are unnecesary , but I are only traditions and this hasn't more important

Yeh, I'd expect D.Will on West and AK47 on Paul George. Poor Paul.

Without Granger and at home we have a good chances of winning the game. And, today is Friday, so I'll be able to watch the game! :)

Without Love and Granger in this game I don't expect any brawl or heated exchange between players :(

I think the Wolves will probably win this game. The Pacers are in disarray to start the season.

The game is winnable, but The Pacers are always tough. I'm gaining more confidence in this team though. We play tough defense. I love what Kirilenko's versatility does for us. When you pair him with Williams and CunningHAM you can switch on screens and picks and not feel like your going to be in trouble on a defensive mismatch. Williams has improved on defense, I will give him that. If he can string together some consistent games like Orlando I will be really happy. I like what Jim Pete was talking about last game, in finding a balance between attacking and shooting. Last game he was really balanced. Williams is a guy who needs to go and work with Hakeem or something. If he added a couple counter moves in the post he would be much better. Or we could just transplant Paul Pierce's brain into his body. Hopefully Williams keeps working on that mid range pull back because I think that would do wonders to open up his offense at the rim. I hope Barea can play for this game too. Every game will be a tough game, but hopefully our defense will always give us hope.

 LMAO.

Anyway,

After reading the preview for the game on NBA.com, I saw this:

The Timberwolves forced 20 turnovers, recorded 11 steals and blocked nine shots against the Magic. Even without the 6-foot-10 Love, Minnesota is averaging 8.5 blocks.

Even WITH Love, we would probably be averaging 8.5 blocks.

I thought the block average thing was funny too.

Tried to find some Barea news if he was going to play since he's been such a factor in our wins...all I could find was this quick update by Zgoda.

J.J. Barea didn't practice today after suffering a mid-foot sprain in his left foot in Wednesday's victory over Orlando.
He declined to talk about his injury after practice, but was candid after Wednesday's game about his regret for chasing a loose ball into the scorer's table with the Wolves leading big in the fourth quarter.
The Wolves today listed his condition simply as "day to day," just like all of us.
He'll receive treatment and be re-evaluated again Friday before that night's game against Indiana.

4-1 would be great. Hopefully the Wolves repeat the Orlando effort and not the Toronto debacle.
