He hasn't been a good rebounder in the last 2 years, now that is starting to change. Young players can improve you know.

O'Quinn is no better than Goose right now. He does a few things better and others worse.

That's very good. Reggie Evans is averaging 6.7 RPG in 15 MPG, making less than Vucevic. I can do this too.

He is no better than a good but not great center in a league with below average centers. I don't think he's trash. He just isn't great in your teams position. For example, if he played alongside a pf like a young garnett he would be nearly perfect. The problem is that he is being paid big time money and not providing everything that you would need from him in order to contend. If he was making ~$9 or $10 mil a year he would be looked at much differently.

Still Rather have O'Quinn out there because what he does better than Goose is what can help us and that's defense. Goose is not good defensively or offensively i mean last time i've seen so many steps i was scaling the statue of liberty. A big block can give us some energy and not and energy drain like Goose is imo. I mean Goose traveled and turned the ball over twice the same exact way. Tired of him getting minutes along with McRoberts

I agree that it would be much better if he played next to a defensive PF because Humphries sucks defensively. But Brook is improving game by game on defense and he was very good today on defense today, a few mistakes aside. As long as he stays healthy and keeps improving at this rate, he'll be well worth that contract.

What are our needs draft-wise? Do we need to draft our PG of the future in this years draft? Henny might be locked in with Nicholson seeing that we passed up PJ3 for him. Might be locked in with Harkless as well since Henny fought so hard to get him. Jury is still out on Vucevic as our Center of the future as he has some work to do especially in the weight room but i can't deny his potential and since we pick up his option Henny seems to think highly of him as well. So that's SF/PF/C all with good prospects so if we're in the Lottery this season which most likely we will be is it for sure Best Player Available or do we go with need?

We need EVERYTHING. Forget everyone we have because whoever we pick in this year's draft will have more talent then all of our players (and this is a weak draft coming up, so that tells you what I think about our young talent).

thanks for the reply. Is there anyone here with a more objective view or is this the consensus of the boards about our prospects that we have now and for the future? I get so nervous of the draft because it's so hard to get lucky. I look at teams like the Bobcats who have had so many high draft picks that didn't turn out well. I look at Hasheem Thabeet the Number 2 pick a few years ago. It's such a crapshoot i guess we have to have faith in Henny and our scouting staff

for me, every position is open, no position on the team is set when you're dealing with a potential top 5 pick,,,

Well, unless you think Harkless is going to be Durant and Nicholson is going to be Garnett they are of no concern when you have a top 3 pick. Even so, it's been proven time and time again, you never draft by your team's needs in the lottery. That's how teams constantly end up with moronically bad big men picks early in the draft.

Do the Nets still think we have Dwight?

We don't want Brooke Lopez and his ridiculous contract!!
